No Trump supporters, period. (meaning, for those who seem confused by this, if you voted for him, or if you didn't vote at all, but support his agenda) I do not text. If you can't keep up your end of the conversation..don't reply/ message me...I am not interested in doing all the work to keep the conversation going. If you can't manage to write interesting, conversational messages..then we aren't a fit anyway. If you don't have time to chat due to work or taking care of a sick parent, or whatever, I respect that, but...then why are you on here? I play it straight, and I play for keeps. I am not on here for laughs, to kill time, or because I am bored. Additionally...I have NO interest in living in a camper/ RV and "traveling to see this great country". I am a confirmed country-dweller, so, if you are a city boy..it most likely won't work. I am *not*, however, a "good 'ol country gal".. Rather, I am an educated woman who chooses to live in the country. However, I enjoy cultural things too...museums, festivals, the symphony, historical sites. I am blunt, honest, and plain-spoken, I do not engage in gossip or coy or"coquettish" behavior. I do not tolerate bigots, racists, homophobes, right-wingers, jingoists, or alpha guys with dominances issues. I'm not your standard-issue woman. . . I do not like sports *at all*. I don't understand shopping as recreation (however, I do like shopping at Lowe's...) I don't care how big your house or car is or how much they cost I'm not big on jewelry, don't get my nails "done" Not a dress gal..never have been, not going to start now.. I do not dance, period....I'd rather listen to and enjoy music. I have been around music people all my adult life..and am more interested in the *music* than dancing. I love to fish (and bait my own hook!) Am not afraid of snakes or mice or lizards I love to cook I don't understand women in general, even though I'm one myself. I live in the country, and wouldn't have it any other way.. The quiet..the critters.. I've fed birds for many years, and have many returning pairs every spring to my feeders, with their fledglings in tow..teaching them what/ where to eat.. Love to read..mostly non-fiction..Sociology, world history, different cultures, history of food and cooking...along with books on how to do things, like garden, raise small stock, be self-sustaining. I watch PBS, old B & W movies on TCM (pre-code are the best) as well as LinkTV, and Discovery, Science, History, Travel, and National Geographic channels. Listen to Public Radio. LOVE Bluegrass (love the banjo!), old time string band, and folk music (I dig Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie)....also listen to classical, old country (prior to the mid 1970's), pre-WW2 jazz big band, world music like Cuban...Brazilian...Romanian... Politically, I'm left of center.. I have some conservative and some very liberal views. However, my opinions are well-thought-out and carefully considered. Basically, though, I am a liberal hippie socialist pinko.. Religion? I'm more spiritual than religious.. I'm a very spiritual being and open to a wonderful assortment of spiritual and religious ethos. (except hard-core Bible thumpers..because of my next two lines) I feel all religions are worthy, and, if yours brings you comfort...~shrug~..who am I to disagree? Please give me the respect I would give you, and do not try to convert me or make me see "the error in my thinking".. I prefer longer hair and adore face fur (beards and mustaches)..If you've lost most or all your hair, that's fine too! >Love a good beard on a man...< "Clean shaven", "clean cut" and men with a "high and tight" are not for me.. I am a die-hard "Pogonphile"... :-) Finally, I am looking for stability and steadiness.. I am a good and decent person, with much love to offer the right man You? You love animals, nature, prefer home-grown veggies, eggs and such to store bought, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Not afraid to try to clean fish and gut and skin a deer (or at least not squicked out by the thought...I mean, how do you think that meat in your grocery store gets there?). The thought of being self-sufficient and off the grid is one you've considered. NO Harleys, please..They're noisy, and I just don't understand the draw.. I'd rather be horseback riding through the country..It's quieter, and you can hear the sounds of nature. Also, not a fan of Nascar. Looking for a man to grow old with..One who can see deeper than the surface. A guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, "that's her.." I had that kind of man for many years...he passed away way too soon... "A man of words and not of deeds is like a garden full of weeds.."
