Should help in avoiding those you feel live too far away.

Distance is crucial in my case, since I can't drive (glaucoma). As I've often been known to remark (only in the appropriate circumstances): if my d... could stretch that far, I'd have my own webcam show.

Heck yes, distance matters! I would never travel far to meet a stranger. Disclaimer: men do this too. One dude asked could he stay with me if he came to meet me all the way from the UK.

Dude, everyone discriminates somehow when selecting a person to date.

If a man wants to be with a woman who is half way around the world, then he should do the traveling, not her.

First it depends on what you are looking for! If you are looking for a partner to live with then distance matters or someone will need to relocate. For me, I'm not looking to live with someone and I spend part of the year traveling. As long as she lives someplace near my travels it can work. Also some areas have cheap, plentiful air travel so meeting up someplace for a long weekend isn't unreasonable.

I deal with this a lot where I'm at now.

If I was still in South Carolina it wouldn't be a problem. Most of you folks don't realize how good you have it living in densely populated area when it comes to dating. Living here I have maybe 200,000 people in a hundred mile radius and that's counting all the tiny towns and farms. Some of you live in suburbs that size....

Thought you would recognize tongue in cheek David.On a more serious note why is the onus on the man to travel,other than from a possible safety factor ? Would you expect a man with a nice home and a secure job to drop everything ?
