Hypothetically speaking... if you could go into space, would you? To be far away enough to look back at Earth and to hold up your hand, open your fingers so you visually 'hold' Earth between your index finger and thumb?
Does that idea thrill you or not? How attached are you to Earth and keeping your feet on the ground or do you feel more like an adventurous space devil? I've panicked when on Google Maps a while back and I accidentally scrolled out too far. Suddenly I was in space, looking at Earth. I seriously panicked, my heart beating so hard it almost jumped out of my chest. I'm very careful these days when on Google maps, haha. The b@st@rdos could have a warning first. I would not want to go in space. I'd flip if I'd see my planet at a distance and me not being on it. I'm not even sure I'd do it if I was given a million for it. Tempting but I think even then I wouldn't. I'd totally freak out, haha. I love our planet Earth and prefer to keep my feet on it!' What about you? |

It would depend very much on the level of sophistication of the travel.
I mean if it was like, you know, star treck. Then, well beam me up scotty.. I mean to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new civi......... well you catch my drift. I recon even you would Crystal.:) if I pulled up in my galactic cruiser and offered to show you the galaxy . And get you back before tea. Having partaken of some bizarre fermented gastropod delicacy, with the omni cognate earth mother of ziggalon 5 ?? but with current sophistication..... probably not. |

Yes I would, that would be so cool! I believe it would be better and more interesting if it were in a star ship like Steve described, but even with what we have now a days, I would go if I had the chance.

Until the statutes of limitations end on other planets, I'll have to remain on Earth. |

I would rather have the money it would cost to send me up into space, and use it to travel to different places on earth. If I could go into space and travel to different planets I would wholeheartedly do it. But just go up, look at the earth and play "I'm squishing your head" with the planet before coming back down? No thank you. |

I did one of those online quizzes once to find out what I should have been named
and it came back with Rowan Jupiter, my home planet maybe? I like being on Earth though. |

apparently, space smells like a mixture of metals, the taste would make me puke
here on earth there are so many different smells to make me puke |

There are a number of people I'd like to see
sent on a one way trip into outerspace. However, I'm staying on this planet. |

Earth? Never heard of it.

When I was in the 10th grade I wrote, directed and starred in
a one-girl show about the first woman astronaut attempting to orbit..I had a rocket made out of a carboard box. She could not get through lift off successfully, she would break a nail, tear her hose, something in her eye, you get the picture. That is as close as I ever hope to come to outer space. |

If it was a la Star Trek I would likely do it, yes! It's like walking around in something normal, not feeling you're in space, there's gravity and so on. It'd still freak me out a bit to see Earth from a distance, but I'd feel safer because of being on a decent starship. Reminds me a bit of Lily who was taken up by Cpt Picard in the 1st Star Trek movie from the Next Generation (insurrection or something). Nice to know you'd have me back on time, hihi. |

That is hilarious! And what a brilliant idea! |

I had not expected most people wanted to stay here, haha. I'd expected esp men to want to be off into space.
Nice to know most are loyal Earthlings, hihi. |

Wow, you li'l dare-devil, haha! That's me... The gypsy traveler So why not venture out into space too, haha. One of the series I recently watched while up in New England was Farscape... The astronaut had a mishap while going into space, ended up in a worm hole that took him to another part of the Universe. That part would scare me but also intrigue me. I don't see myself as being 'of the Earth', rather I see myself as a spiritual being living on Earth in this lifetime. I have the desire to explore and travel the World I'm living in, going into space would be much the same... exploring the Universe that I am a part of. And who knows, maybe in outerspace I'd have a little more luck finding that special being that's just right for me Hahaha! |
