Hypothetically speaking... if you could go into space, would you? To be far away enough to look back at Earth and to hold up your hand, open your fingers so you visually 'hold' Earth between your index finger and thumb?
Does that idea thrill you or not?
How attached are you to Earth and keeping your feet on the ground or do you feel more like an adventurous space devil?

I've panicked when on Google Maps a while back and I accidentally scrolled out too far. Suddenly I was in space, looking at Earth. I seriously panicked, my heart beating so hard it almost jumped out of my chest.
I'm very careful these days when on Google maps, haha. The b@st@rdos could have a warning first.

I would not want to go in space. I'd flip if I'd see my planet at a distance and me not being on it. I'm not even sure I'd do it if I was given a million for it. Tempting but I think even then I wouldn't. I'd totally freak out, haha.

I love our planet Earth and prefer to keep my feet on it!'

What about you?

Definitely, you just never know your luck. laugh

I'd leave and never come back. In the end, we all go to space anyway. Kind of ironic that we all come from space as well. Well, that's the basic gist of life, we all come from space and end up back in space, there's a little more to it than just that, but yeah, that's pretty much it.

I'd like to joyride in a fast UFO around the place, but return home after. Like the kid in the movie The Navigator.
A secret hideout behind the moon could be fun.

Yes I would, that would be so cool! I believe it would be better and more interesting if it were in a star ship like Steve described, but even with what we have now a days, I would go if I had the chance.

Wow, you li'l dare-devil, haha!

That's me... The gypsy traveler biggrin So why not venture out into space too, haha.

One of the series I recently watched while up in New England was Farscape... The astronaut had a mishap while going into space, ended up in a worm hole that took him to another part of the Universe. That part would scare me but also intrigue me.

I don't see myself as being 'of the Earth', rather I see myself as a spiritual being living on Earth in this lifetime. I have the desire to explore and travel the World I'm living in, going into space would be much the same... exploring the Universe that I am a part of.

And who knows, maybe in outerspace I'd have a little more luck finding that special being that's just right for me smitten

Hahaha!

Right we're off then girls... prepare to enter deep subspace lol

I'd love to leave earth right now, but I'd probably return to earth, just to check that problems had been resolved. whoa

For a very long time I have dreamed of space travel.
One way I get to sleep at night is to imagine flying off into space.

Thing is, I would need a companion.
Human beings need to be touched by other human beings.
The need to interact with other human beings.
Alone in space would be torture.
Maybe not at first but as time goes by, isolation would do me in.

Star Trek is a utopian fantasy.
If you consider yourself on a colony ship, the ship becomes the world because of the people you would interact with.
Even if you had a lifelike android with personality and physical attributes, its not enough. You would 'know' it was synthetic.
Synthetic is never as good as the real thing.

Realistically, my health would prevent me from being in space.
Earth gravity is a significant requirement that is often overlooked.
Trace gasses in the atmosphere may seem insignificant till you no longer have them.
Filtered sunlight that changes is also something that keeps you healthy.
Tidal forces from the Moon are part of our requirements.
Atmospheric pressure changes by location, artificial pressure does not.
We are protected from Solar radiation and cosmic rays by a natural process of the Earth, without that protection you will cook in that can.

Most of all, I would miss random human interaction.

Curtains? Potholes? We agreed on a sexy starship! Kind of like the Enterprise. Maybe a tad smaller, but a proper one which huge windows with an energy field, not glass. Huge, so we can see planets, stars and stand in awe as we watch it all! love
If one needs privacy you of course can get that, the field will get opaque.

Even though im afraid of heights i would definitely want to see space and all the planets. If i could do this within a short period of time like a year or less, i would prefer it. But since were not that advanced yet or may never be i will just have to dream.
