MM A ridge extending from france to Scandinavia stalling the west to east airflow and forcing the jet stream to head from north to south for a few days. Dragging some cooler air down with it. Not too bad in Cornwall 17 degrees, dry, light winds and sunny off and on.

I think so Mikey. It's getting dark early now so not so much daylight now either. I think it gets darker here in Scotland quicker than it does in England

18C and quite sunny even though there are clouds. As for getting dark early... I was in the UK in December a few years ago and remember being quite surprised about the light beginning to go around 3, 3.30. But then realized you're an hour behind. But somehow never thought it'd begin to get dark earlier too. I found it horrible to be honest. Very short days that way.

It's now stopped raining and brightened up and it's now 16C. Yes, it looks like we'll get to feel hurricane Dorian on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Need to batten down the hatches methinks
