Blondey, I don't think those people are looking for love. I think they are desperate because it's the holidays and they are sad and lonely. It sounds like some will go out with anyone. perhaps cat .. christmas can be a lonely time for many

I heard on tv today that the biggest breakup day, for couples, is new year's eve. Who agrees with that?

Who agrees with that? breakups happen anytime but yes I think it is feasible there is a peak of breakups at New Years ....which is often a time of reflection and change . New Year Breakups likely contribute to the surge on dating sites and social media .
