Mueller's Russia investigation: Trump's legal team braces for report, hasn't talked with special counsel in 'weeks'
"WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump’s legal team is bracing for the imminent delivery of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the nearly two-year investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, lead attorney Rudy Giuliani said Thursday". http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/02/21/trump-legal-team-bracing-end-mueller-inquiry-rudy-giuliani/2938591002/ Why is the Trump team "bracing" for the report if there's been no wrong-doing? Considering Trump surrounded himself with the likes of Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn, George Papadopoulos, and Michael Cohen it's hard to believe Mueller will find Trump 100% innocent. There's a reason why Mueller hasn't talked to Trump. He lies about everything. As Giuliani says, “If (Mueller) clears the president, we walk away and say, ‘Thank you.’ However, if it's negative, responding isn't going to change the truth. You will probably all go to jail. |

Michael Cohen Will Reportedly ‘Pull the Curtain Back’ on Trump’s Crimes
"President Trump’s embattled former lawyer and fixer were set to testify before Congress on February 7th. Then, late last month, he backed out, citing fear over threats from his former boss. A day after Cohen reconsidered voluntarily appearing before Congress, the Senate Intelligence Committee left him with no choice, issuing a subpoena that effectively forced him to testify. He’ll do so next week. A lot. On Tuesday, Cohen will sit down for a private session with the Senate Intelligence Committee. On Wednesday, he’ll appear publicly before the House Oversight Committee. On Thursday, he’ll appear before the House Intelligence Committee for another closed-door session. If Cohen’s attorney Lanny Davis is to be believed (a big “if,” no doubt), we could learn a lot about Trump’s potential involvement in criminal activity". http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/michael-cohen-trump-crimes-797377/ |

Another one of Trump's crooked/corrupt friends.
Federal Judge Extends Gag Order To Roger Stone Over Instagram Post "Federal Judge Extends Gag Order To Roger Stone Over Instagram Post HuffPost Andy Campbell,HuffPost 3 hours ago Reactions Reblog on Tumblr Share Tweet Email WASHINGTON ― A federal judge extended a gag order effectively silencing Roger Stone after he published a disparaging Instagram post that depicted crosshairs next to her head". http://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/roger-stone-says-apos-broke-200412958.html 1972: Paul Manafort and Roger Stone are active in the College Republicans. Their candidate to lead the group, John “Terry” Dolan, runs against Karl Rove, whose key aide was Lee Atwater. Rove won. 1973: Trump, 27, meets Roy Cohn, a former aide to Sen. Joe McCarthy who went on to become Trump’s lawyer and mentor. At the time, the Justice Department was suing the Trumps for not renting to black people, and Trump hired Cohn, a New York attorney “who represented New York power brokers, from the Yankees owner George Steinbrenner to the mob boss Carlo Gambino,” to to represent them in the matter. 1977: Stone, 25, wins the presidency of the Young Republicans in a campaign managed by Manafort. 1979: Roger Stone meets Roy Cohn and Trump. 1980: Manafort, Stone and Charles Black (all Reagan campaign officials) open their lobbying shop in Washington, D.C. Their first client, Stone recalled, was none other than Donald Trump. Oct. 1993: Trump and Stone testify before the House Native American Affairs subcommittee on Indian Gaming. 1999: Stone is working for Trump as chief political adviser as he toys with running for president. By that time, Manafort has accumulated significant experience in presidential campaigns. Early 2000s: Manafort begins working for Donbas billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, Ukraine’s richest oligarch. 2006: Manafort reportedly begins working for the Russian aluminum billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who has close ties to Vladimir Putin. The Associated Press reported that Manafort signed a $10 million with Deripaska in 2006 to “influence politics, business dealings and news coverage inside the United States, Europe and former Soviet republics to benefit President Vladimir Putin’s government.” March 2007: Manafort and his partners (political consultant Rick Davis and lobbyist Rick Gates) set up a private equity fund, Pericles Emerging Market Partners, to buy smaller Ukrainian firms and merge them into larger ones and then sell them. The fund is registered in the Cayman Islands. 2010: Manafort helps elect Yanukovych as president of Ukraine in 2010. 2014: Yanukovych is forced to flee Ukraine for Russia in the face of widespread public protests. March 28, 2016: Trump campaign hires Manafort to work on his campaign. August 2, 2016: Manafort and Kilimnik meet at the Grand Havana Club, an upscale cigar bar in Manhattan, to talk “caviar,” which is believed to be a reference to earlier payments made to Manafort by Deripaska. August 2016: Manafort’s daughter’s phone is hacked and hundreds of her text messages are eventually posted on a darknet website. The texts reveal the daughters were worried about the work he did in Ukraine and that someone had tried to blackmail him, suggesting they could reveal a secret meeting Manafort had supposedly arranged for Trump in 2012 with a Yanukovych ally. |

Democrat predicts House will get Trump’s tax returns — but there are a few complications

Mueller report not coming next week: senior U.S. Justice official
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Special Counsel Robert Mueller will not deliver his long-awaited report next week on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections, a senior U.S. Justice Department official said on Friday, amid expectations that the report was imminent". http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-report-official/mueller-report-not-coming-next-week-senior-us-justice-official-idUSKCN1QB2GR Whoever reports on the release of the report should first read the report outlining reporting procedures of report releases. Otherwise, it may be considered a false report. Expect another report on the Mueller report next week. How much is the Mueller investigation costing? (updated) "Factoring in the three additional months that have passed — October, November and December 2018 — could plausibly get the costs up to $27 million or so. That’s well below the $40 million figure Trump tweeted about on Nov. 29." http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2018/dec/14/how-much-mueller-investigation-costing-updated/ Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation could turn a profit for the government, thanks to Paul Manafort's asset forfeiture Special counsel Robert Mueller secured a win last Friday, with President Donald Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, pleading guilty to conspiracy charges and agreeing to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Mueller may have also paid for his own investigation. That's because, as part of his plea deal with the special counsel, Manafort agreed to forfeit real estate and cash estimated to be worth between $42 million and $46 million. The special counsel's office declined to provide an estimate for the value of the assets". http://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/17/mueller-probe-could-turn-a-profit-thanks-to-manafort-assets.html So far, not one dime has come out of the taxpayer for this investigation. 27.5 million tons of US soybeans expected to go unsold this year as a direct consequence of the trade war with China

They had to have spent more than 7.8 million in a total of 6 years of investigation. It may have seemed longer than it was. This is what I found: On May 8, 2014, the House voted 232–186 to establish the select committee, with 225 Republicans and 7 Democrats in favor, and 186 Democrats voting against.[1] The chairman of the committee was Representative Trey Gowdy from South Carolina.[2] It was the last of six investigations conducted by Republican-controlled House committees. The committee closed on December 12, 2016,[3] after issuing its final report.[4] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_Select_Committee_on_Benghazi#Main_report so, that investigation ran a little over 2 years guestimates about the cost are all over the place. I will get back about that later. |

Court records reveal a Mueller report right in plain view
"WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump was in full deflection mode. The Democrats had blamed Russia for the hacking and release of damaging material on his presidential opponent, Hillary Clinton. Trump wasn't buying it. But on July 27, 2016, midway through a news conference in Florida, Trump decided to entertain the thought for a moment. "Russia, if you're listening," said Trump, looking directly into a television camera, "I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing" — messages Clinton was reported to have deleted from her private email server. Actually, Russia was doing more than listening: It had been trying to help Republican Trump for months. That very day, hackers working with Russia's military intelligence tried to break into email accounts associated with Clinton's personal office". http://www.apnews.com/2b8513d4a4224a559d7048edb396cdfd |

That's a good thing. Unlike Trump. If he gets his way with his useless wall. And tell me Charles ! What was the cost to tax payers for the Benghazi investigation and the Hillary email investigation that yielded NO CONVICTION NO INDICTMENT ??? ![]() House Benghazi committee files final report and shuts down The panel, which spent more than $7.8 million over two and a half years, disbanded at the end of the 114th Congress before a new Congress begins in January. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2016/12/12/house-benghazi-committee-files-final-report-and-shuts-down/95336692/ All in all 7.8 million is not all that bad. It could have cost a whole lot more. But on the other hand, Spending 7.8 million and coming up with a big goose egg, You could call it a waste. All in all, this was a six-year investigation that got nowhere and wasted 7.8 million tax dollars. The right has 0 legs to stand on when talking about the Mueller investigation. If in the end, the Mueller investigation turns up ZERO against Trump, the taxpayer is not out one red cent. At least so far. In all honesty, this could change if the investigation happens to take an unexpected turn. But right now it's right on track. I say, let the man do his job and quit the piss and moan about it. It's no skin off the taxpayer's nose. So far he has made the Benghazi investigation, and the Benghazi investigators, look like amateur time. Total cost for Benghazi investigation, $7,000,000 https://www.politifact.com/facebook-fact-checks/statements/2018/dec/19/blog-posting/fact-checking-meme-about-costs-mueller-investigati/ I wish Mrs H would research this also. ![]() ![]() |

This man lies so much I don't see how anyone in their right mind could stand with him. I would be afraid to stand to close in the fear that a bolt of lightning would strike him and accidentally get me.
Donald Trump Hails 'Just Built' Border Wall, But Uses Months-Old Footage "However, it’s not true that the wall featured in the video had been “just built.” The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, whose logo appears in the bottom corner of the video Trump shared, actually produced the clip in September 2018, a spokesperson told veterans news website Task & Purpose. It shows “a replacement project” for a section of a barrier that was in place before Trump assumed office". http://www.yahoo.com/news/donald-trump-hails-apos-just-130314042.html |

Dictators And Old Rich White Guys Get Trump's Benefit Of The Doubt,' Twitter Grouses
"Here we go again. A white guy pal is accused of sexual misconduct and President Donald Trump is apparently ready to give him the benefit of the doubt". "That got Twitter to thinking about the kind of people Trump tends to believe: the wealthy, white guys, campaign contributors, dictators, friends, crooked campaign workers. Like the time Trump said Russian President Vladimir Putin denied having anything to do with interfering in the American presidential election — even though U.S. intelligence determined he definitely did. “I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it,” Trump said. " "The president also called his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, a tax cheat and convicted felon facing up to 24 years behind bars, a “good man.” In addition, Trump refused to blame Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmon in the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi — again, ignoring the conclusion of his own intelligence officials. “He denies it, and people around him deny it,” said Trump.
