Hahaha, great idea! I've been wanting to paint a tromp l'oeil for years! I have done wall paintings for the kids when they were young btw. I painted Cpt Hook's ship, Peter Pan flying in the air and a Tinkerbell
Floor paintings...
A grapevine on the staircase, which looked effing stunning when you looked down on it!! Helluva lot of work, will NEVER do that again, haha.
Done a landscape on an outer wall that we looked at from the living room with Uluru on it and a kangaroo...
Yet I never dared go for the tromp l'oeil. Who knows!

Bummer with all these things is that you have to leave it behind when you move house... And yes, that did hurt a bit. Especially Uluru. It'd turned out in a hot danged masterpiece, hihi. But yeah, you cannot take a wall with ya and leave the buyer with a huge hole in the bathroom, giggle

Yes, indeed. I think I got a few photos from some of those, but thing is, when you move you often don't care about it so you forget.
For instance when you move house due to divorce. I couldn't care less, had other things on my mind. Nowadays also a lot easier with digital and mobile phone cameras. I have no photos of the grapevine with grapes on the staircase (on the steps) :( Nor from Peter Pan & Hook's ship...

aww mannn that's too bad. but you had best share pics here if you decide that the ivory is too much
