There is the risk of wanting a dog like that after you've watched the movie... You do realize Buck is a CGI & dog mix, right? http://www.rover.com/blog/call-of-the-wild-movie/ In 2020, Buck is played by a 51-year-old former Cirque du Soleil performer named Terry who was digitally transformed into a St. Bernard-Scotch shepherd mix. He walks like a dog, he barks like a dog, but β as many viewers will realize within seconds β he isnβt a real dog. ~ http://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/23/movies/call-of-the-wild-dog.html ~ Then, Jessica Steele-Sanders, the wife of the movieβs director, Chris Sanders, found a rescue dog online: he seemed like a possible St. Bernard-Scotch shepherd, the same mixture of breeds as the novelβs version of Buck. She adopted the dog (who happened to be named Buckley), and soon, he was being scanned and photographed so that visual effects specialists could create a digital imitation of him. CGI only, yes. Doesn't make a difference to feelings. I read about the 'stand-in' dog, and I do wonder what they did with it afterwards. |

Hoping to get some inspiration out of you guys! I'm stuck with things to look and cannot find anything either. I'm not into romance series, comedy, nor drama. I love action, thrillers, historical, and specific sci-fi thingies. Su(ker for disaster movies, lol. Anyone got recommendations? No romance, drama, comedy, certainly NOT comic book. Few suggestions of mine; - 9-1-1 series - Outlander (okay, romance, but also history, love that) - Siren - Seal Team - Last Ship - Taboo - Lost in Space (new series) - The Rain - Knightfall I love outlander and history. If you enjoy that you might really enjoy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikings_(2013_TV_series) I absolutely love it and it has some strong leading ladies. |

I loved seeing how they managed to get across the seas, conquer and so on. I have not seen the last 2 seasons. Maybe I will. |

Colchack, the night stalker. A TV series circa late 70's.
Colchack is a bit like Columbo, he is an investigator in daggy clothes or crumpled coat. He is a bit like very early X files, researching and investigating strange phenomena (fiction), often in tunnels and basements and spooky places. A sort of weak horror thriller series for TV, but interesting. Probably super mild compared to today. |

I didn't read back to see if I mentioned it but there was a series with only one season called
Surface (2005) 15 episodes Stars: Lake Bell, Jay R. Ferguson, Carter Jenkins Genre: Science fiction During a routine submersible dive in the North Pacific Ocean, California oceanographer Laura Daughtery (Lake Bell) is attacked by an unknown life-form that appears out of a field of craters on the ocean's floor. Miles Barnett (Carter Jenkins), a 14-year old North Carolina teenager, finds himself face to face with the strange sea creature after falling off his wakeboard during a nighttime outing with his friends. Meanwhile, Richard Connelly (Jay R. Ferguson), a Louisiana man on a fishing trip, loses his brother in a suspicious diving accident when a creature drags him to the depths of the Gulf of Mexico. All around the world, strange things are occurring in the world's oceans. Shooting stars fall from the night sky into the Caribbean Sea; a horrific howl tears apart a South African lighthouse. In South Carolina, an unknown carcass washes up on a public beach, prompting the government to evacuate and cordon off the area, claiming it as a beached whale killed by red tide poisoning. ~ wiki What do naval officers in the South Antarctic Sea, a family in Wilmington, N.C., the oceanographic institute in Monterey, and fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico all have in common? They're all about to be the first to meet a new form of sea life -- it's beautiful, the kids may even want to play with it, and it likes to make the water warm. But what they don't know yet is that they are on the verge of a world disaster. "Surface" is a series full of continuously evolving twists that deliver across several long-term arcs. ~ IMdb Surface trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxNhqoE-nI4 https://www.watchepisodeseries1.com/surface |

Meet Nimrod! Ain't he cute! I'll watch it first before I reply to that statement :) Looks can be deceiving! Well, so far I like the series, and Nimrod :) The one thing that's really aggravating... Miles' parents. What c*nt$! Parents like that shouldn't have children. I think I'd run away. |
