Zoo keeper. Thinking... that big?... 🕷 I recently found Zoo Tycoon online for free. Its an ISO of the complete collection. I spend hours playing it. I AM THE ZOOKEEPER! |

When I was very, very young thought of being a zoo keeper.

Very cool Tom, thanks. All open positions there require at least a vet assistant certificate.. That's easy to get. Veterinary Technician would be better though. Thinking baby steps... Vet Assistant first, then the tech later on. http://www.uscareerinstitute.edu/certificates/professional-services/veterinary-assistant Thinking you could get certified online in your spare time. I paid for a vet assistant course mail order study for my X years ago. She lost interest in it after the first module so I completed the course (since I paid for it) and got her the certificate which she never used. It wasn't that difficult to do and I learned a lot about animals. I'm thinking I was a fool to have ever trusted my X to start with but that's all water under the bridge. Excellent... I forgot about this one. I have been looking at a couple other certificate places that are around the same amount, but the consumer comments were good. I don't have a lot of spare time... although it's slowing down so I will. Thinking it's time to go back to school. |

Indiana Jones: "snakes. Why did they have to be snakes?" I'm the same with spiders.

When I was very, very young thought of being a zoo keeper. When I was very young I used to bring home animals that were hurt. I was always told I should have been a Vet. I love animals and get along better with them sometimes. I prefer zoo animals, the wild animals more than domestic animals. |

You might find an apprentice program working with their animals alongside the resident zookeeper or trail guide. You may not even need veterinarian certification as most of those positions deal with animal behavior more than animal health. http://www.minitime.com/trip-tips/6-Big-Game-Safari-Parks-in-the-US--article |

I don't mess with poisonous snakes. I've held a ball python before. I don't think of snakes as pets. I like something furry and cute and you can do something with. You can play with cats and dogs.

That is very true Kat. I like spiders and snakes, but prefer to have the fluffy critters when it comes to pets.

I giraffes.

I always thought they were related to horses, they're closer related to camels. When I learned that, I could totally see it. It made more sense they'd be more like camels than horses.
They are fascinating creatures. |
