That sounds like a plan to me. I have a little machine that plays all kinds of sounds, ocean sounds is one of them. I will give that a try. Thanks Ana

I’ve had ambien before when I traveled all the time and had to adjust to time zones and had to sleep when I wasn’t tired but had to adjust quickly. Two keys are have 8 hours till you need to be up and to be done with EVERYTHING (brushing teeth in PJ’s etc) for the night and just laying there after taking it. If you start doing something after taking it, it really screws with your head.

Although I never liked how I felt the next morning as my head was “strange” but functional. I used only when I had to.

Melatonin is supposed to help but I can’t say it really does. But something to look into.

I fall asleep doing deep, slow breathing. Relaxation meditation. Sometimes I use a sound app on my phone.

Plus meds. rofl


Hot bath or shower is good, too. Like drinking cocoa. The heat stimulates our body to cool itself down & fall asleep faster.

Thinking a good quality cold pressed calcium supplement with vitamin D3 has been amazing in helping me sleep. Also having a fan or ac on in the background has helped.

Listening to spiritual instrumental music... something like Reiki relaxation or other meditative relaxation music. A one hour CD so it goes off when it finishes works really well.
