Topic: What to Wear for Meet & Greet? | |
---|---|
Scenario is during the day, NOT a dinner thing.
Just wondering what you yourself wear on a meet & greet? And what do you expect/hope the other to wear? Do you guys expect a woman to turn up in a dress / skirt or is casual okay too? By which I mean, jeans and a nice top. |

Do you mean when I show up in my orange speedo, cowboy boots, and cape?
Nah, I prefer casual (not sloppy) but when a woman shows up and can pull off blue jeans, brown belt, and muted earth toned teeshirt....Incredibly Sexy! Save the smart black cocktail dress for a surprise.....I'll be around your pinky. My ex always dressed very well and fashionable....but was always ready to "GO" which I appreciated. When I first saw her in the short number she wore to her birthday celebration........WOW!!!! I guess I am saying...save a little. |

I have only ever seen those on the telly.
That is where you get a few minutes with a prospective date? I like the idea of casual rather than seeing someone who worked on the project for hours. |

I show up dressed as Grimace. If she shows up as the Hamburgler, then it will be love at first sight.

No, a meet and greet is your first date. Just that I don't really see that as a date, cos it's just meeting each other the first time to see if it clicks. Shouldn't be too long, half an hour or an hour is enough, in case you don't click. And if you do click, you can either make it longer or really look forward to the 2nd date. In that sense, to me a 2nd date is more like the real 1st date where you do something more (an activity for instance or dinner) than a meet and greet. |

For me as long as he made an effort in presenting himself Ewwwe if he stinks I'm off I make an effort to look nice It's also important to dress for what you plan to do. Talk about what you will be doing so you know. I learnt that from one date. It wasn't till the end of the date he said you weren't really dress for it aye? Grrrrrrrr dahh It's was a bye bye |

Depends on time of year and where we go. Sometimes around here it's 120 degrees. So I'll wear shorts and a polo. Sometimes it's during work hours, so I'll wear a suit. Sometimes it's just a normal day and a quick meet, so I'll wear jeans and a button down. Sometimes it's for evil, so I'll wear a ski mask and ether cologne. It just depends. And what do you expect/hope the other to wear?
A smile throughout? Do you guys expect a woman to turn up in a dress / skirt or is casual okay too? By which I mean, jeans and a nice top.
I always hope a woman shows up in a dress/skirt. I'm not comfortable with saying "jeans are okay" because it sounds like I'm giving them permission, or I have a negative reaction to it and am willing to settle. If/when they wear jeans I don't really pay attention to them, I focus on something else. If she showed up in a skirt I don't really pay attention to the skirt, I will check out her legs and shoes. If she shows up in jeans, and depending on how tight they are, I check out her belly, butt, and mostly boobs since the legs are covered. I will always look for bare skin. If that's not available, then it's looking for boob and butt size. Unless you dress like a bedouin, clothes simply shift a guys focus from one sexualized body part to another, they will always notice and try not to stare as they look you in the eye and talk to you. So...jeans are "okay." Anything that doesn't hinder the ability to subconsciously determine your body ratios is "okay." |

Just a meet and greet, I will just dress as myself, jeans and a nice shirt. My date should be dressed the same. Everything should be clean.

I dont really care what she wears, but just no sweats please. A dress and heels works for me big time. Light blue denim jeans and a shirt with those crucial buttons open...white is good..works..Hell! yoga pants and a tee is hot.... Crap! who am I kidding....I have very little interest in seeing how a woman is dressed...I am more interested in her just showing up for the meet and greet...all I am saying...for now...

Dressing for a meet'n greet/first date?
I actually don't put too much thought into wearing apparel, as I try to dress casually nice every day.. There are outside influences that will dictate what I may wear (weather, activity)... If its winter, I won't be wearing a skirt/dress and heels.. Probably show more 'skin' in the summer.. I think summer wear has more 'flirty' options than my winter wear.. just sayin.. |

@ Tmommy, hilarious, haha!
@ Kitty, you're absolutely right! I also don't feel like getting cold just to make a good impression. So no thin panties and short skirt and thin top or something. Today I had a first date/meet & greet, and I was glad I wore something a tad warmer cos the temp wasn't too bad but the RealFeel temp dropped like a brick. And heck, I put on a g-string for the date. That's effort enough, lol ---> I hate the feckin' things. |

For me first time normally is always during the day or early evening... And it is jeans and a nice top... or T-shirt... Myself prefer more casual. And not talking about wearing the same jeans I would do yard work in..
At least be well groomed, and to me I don't care if they show up in shorts and flip flops. Just as long as they well groomed and not raggy clothes.. Heck anyone can look good in what they wear as long as they are well groomed.. |
