Prostitution is illegal in the first place because why?

Because there would pretty much be no more families, no more children to send off to war.

Because there would pretty much be no more families, no more children to send off to war. Where do you come up with this stuff? It's not based in anything that even resembles reality. |

Then why is prostitution illegal in the US (except in parts of Nevada).

They say prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. To this day prostitution is considered a vulgar profession. Although some radical feminists do consider it to be empowering to women (many disagree). Perhaps this is not the point. Could it be that the reason for these perceptions are not really about the job itself, but just the simple fact that a prostitute earns MONEY at all (at one time it was the only paid job for a woman)? It seems possible that since todays working women, although not selling sex, are expected to work for cash (pimped out), and so there is something vulgar in this expectation itself (explained). Thoughts? there is nothing vulgar in expecting people to contribute, it is vulgar that the only valued contributions are those that come with a paycheck women once had a well honored and important job of raising their children,, but because someone has to pay the bills, that role in and of itself is no longer valued unless they have a partner that pays those bills. If it is taxpayer money, suddenly that same cherished job earns us nothing but a title of moocher,,, as to sex, we send far too many mixed messages in this society one is that consentual adult sex is always alright,, but that it isnt alright if there is consent to pay or if there is consent between adult FAMILY MEMBERS that kids are grown enough to embark upon the 'natural' journey of sexual exploration, but not grown enough to embark upon it with a legal adult,,, I am about consistency,, so I believe that IF it is ok for a man and woman to consent to having sex,, it is ok for them to decide the terms of that occasion, whether its a relationship or bills getting paid or a cash payment its all just as 'casual' and 'consentual' |

Prostitution is illegal in the first place because why? i believe its due to good intentions a good portion of prostitutes are abused and misused by pimps and johns,, so the law actually is one to dissuade women from being in such a dangerous profession,, notice how 'escorts' are able to bypass these same laws,,, it is the more desperate females who prostitute , they dont have the resources or background to market themself as an 'escort' so they go to the lowest and simplest resource of standing on a corner and waiting for desperate people to stop their cars |

Then why is prostitution illegal in the US (except in parts of Nevada). This doesn't support your argument that it's illegal because we need children to send to war. It's a strawman argument. |

This is true, just like massage therapy, it can turn sexual but in the end it's just another service with another fee.
Maybe we should think that in the US legal prostitution has been contained, not banned. Illegal prostitution is rampant in the US, so I assume if it were legal everywhere, hardly any families would exist. Like I said no more children for the Army would be a problem for the government. We need to keep women poor so their kids will go to war for us. |

i pay a female maid to clean my house...i pay a different female to clean my clock...
i dont see any reason why only one of the two should be labeled a criminal and have to risk facing jail time to earn a living......i'm for legalization...jmo |

Legalization of prostitution would mean mandatory military service for every man.

if illegal prostitution is, indeed, rampant, why do families exist even now. If its everywhere, being illegal or legal would have nothing to do with its "supposed" family destroying ability
assume if it were legal everywhere, hardly any families would exist. |

Legalization of prostitution would mean mandatory military service for every man. Wtf? Where did this come from? |

Legalization of prostitution would mean mandatory military service for every man. Based on what? Prior to 1973 the United States had a draft and prostitution was illegal. You're making no sense. |
