I believe it is wrong
but like being mean is wrong but not illegal, i dont believe it should be legislated in any way,,, people should live in the lifestyle of their choice HOWEVER< I dont believe government should be forced to sanction it in any way,, live 'married' in commitment to whomever one wishes, as long as we dont cross over into making government adjust its laws to redefine husband or wife,, or marriage,, |

I couldn't do it you would have to keep coming up with new stuff every week in the bedroom to keep on top of your game, it would be like the voice and after you finished he would take out his big red buzzer and your delegated to just every Friday.

To make it complicated what if the wife learned that his husband had a child with another woman during their marriage... She's now stuck in a polygamous relationship right? ...

Not complicated at all. Have self respect and divorce him for adultery. I personally could not stay with a cheater, the trust would be gone. |

She's now stuck in a polygamous relationship right? ... not legally, unless it was another wife,, otherwise just another wife with a wandering spouse,, the kid just happened to be one potential result |

I personally don't share well enough.
Also the legal ramifications in the U.S. IMO has to many headaches for most people. I know there are some people that can do it and do it well. I wish them well. |

Multiple religions allow it. Do you have any opinions on whether you think it is right or wrong? Polygamy, is a very general term. You'd be hard-pressed to find 'any' religions that simply condone POLYGAMY ! Polygamy is often confused with Polygyny, which is probably the more specific term for what is more socially acceptable in some religions. The word 'Polygamy' implies more than one conjugal partner, but isn't gender-specific. The word 'Polygyny' implies more than one Wife. The word 'Polyandrous' implies more than one Complacent-Male. ****** The Word 'Husband' Technically Being Non-Applicable ****** ****************************************************************************************************************************************** It's important to note... Either arangment isn't open-ended ! Either the Husband has Wives all faithful to him. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Or <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< The Woman has Compacent-Males all obliged to her. Anything else is just 'Free Sex' and Swinging ! |

Polygamy is not legal in USA, but it still happens. Polyandry & polgamy,.. performed as a RITUAL, in the USA. But they are NOT legally married anywhere in the USA. Only the the FIRST spouse from that UNION has rights & only the children from THAT union are legitimate. |

Only the FIRST spouse from that UNION have rights & only the children from THAT union are legitimate. This is an interesting criterion... Just how morally correct is this precedent ? Sorry Soufiehere, but I was being sarcastic when I did reply to those individuals who seemed to think that fatherless children without any rights of inheritance is a fair seeming criterion for our lovely western society. ***************************************************************************************************************************************** Who comes to the defence of the defenceless amoung the Mods ? While I personally don't care for the more than one spouce idea, I would like to point out some biblical facts here.
Abraham technically had two wives Jacob had four. The law according to Moses did not say it was wrong. And when Jesus was teaching he did not strike down the old law. Now with that in mind; here is my rant. If the USA is supposed to have been founded on both Christian ideals and with religious freedom in mind how much hypocrisy can be tolerated when they tell Utah they won't be a state until they get rid of the multiple wives. |

My issue with polygamy is that it would create more children and add to an overpopulated planet with finite dwindling precious resources. We don't need any more mouths to feed than necessary. At least, keep it one family at a time. We are already suffering the burden of multiple families with the high divorce rate and people getting remarried to start new families and have even more children with new partners and people having children out of wedlock.

Sheik, could you stop using asterisks in your comments? You keep stretching out the threads like an oversized image does.

Is it actually illegal for a woman to have to husbands even though she is only legally married to one but is Cohabiting, signing papers, name on things with the other too?
