Scammers everywhere specially if you're on dating sites >_< But here's an assurance if there are bad people then there are certainly good people here. Just think of it this way, since you're on here then, surely there are also other people who have good intentions just like you who registered here.

What the OP is saying is the reason I don't even bother to answer messages anymore. Unless it's someone from the forums or the first message makes it clear that it's a native speaker.



Report? Meaning you have to report 99.9999999% of the ppl that send you a message?
And say what? You can't prove anything, it's based on bad English and English that isn't horribly bad, but just slightly off.
I never report, don't even think Mingle will do anything about it, unless it's crystal clear it's a scammer.

I don't even bother blocking them. They hardly ever approach you a 2nd time. So delete is enough, just to keep my inbox nice and tidy.

^^This....She is 100% correct...Now let me say this...The first day I joined Mingle, I began participating in the forums...I didn't care that I didn't know anyone, I didn't care if I made a fool of myself (which I did with my very first post )...I just wanted to belong, be part of something...Every site has scammers, every site has fake profiles, every site has trolls....WHO CARES!!...Focus on your reason(s) for being here, delete the scam email, move on...Don't take it personally, it's not about you...Don't blame the site, there is no way to prevent it...If you are here to meet real people, begin by joining the forums....Not only will you meet some amazing people, you will have a great time doing it.....

If you are on the forums long enough its like having friends.You get to know the people and realise that there are normal people on here.No am not going to define NORMAL. I sometimes check out their profiles to get a sense of who they are.

I never, ever did the 1-900 thing. Mainly because the picture in my mind was something like this great-grandmother would be talking dirty on the other end.



The only porn I ever read,for the novelty, was Hustler. Only because it was a shock and awe thing when they first came out.

That phase lasted about two issues. I didn't go out of my way to buy the mag.

I've only watched one porn flick. Deep Throat. That was only because of the publicity it got.

Internet relations? I take with a grain. I have communicated with a few people, not just women, who, if they needed it, would have a place to crash for a while.

I left Mingles for a while when I started getting all these scammers emailing me. I have done my share of scammers check on these and other websites, but still some do get thru. It is disheartening....but I love all these guys & gals on the forum. They are all down to earth, calls a spade a spade, and they are as genuine as they say they are.
So, ST.....rough it out. I am going to participate more in the forum and hope someone will be my 'friend' as it was friendship that I was looking for. So, scammers.....scram!!
