I am beginning to wonder if cheating is contagious. So many threads are about that anymore.
Come to think of it cheating can cause something contagious.

If he cheats on you go out and buy a small insurance policy, put it on debit (if you are so blind you can't see him cheating you probably don't read your bank statements, and put your favorite Women's charity on it as your beneficiary.

Sooner or he is going to bring something home that is life threatening and the charity deserves the money more than he does.

Sound cold? Well it would be that day in he-l before I put up with a cheat so if you put up with it you deserve it.

The women who have the backbone to stand up for themselves should benefit .

I like that Doc! You can never blame someone if they choose a different path.
However, there is the question of dignity. And dignity is what is taken when someone betrays a certain level of trust.

Why didn't the said cheater man/ woman up and exsit relationship before cheating?

If a man/ woman has no dignity, are they really a person?

That is kind of what I did with my Ex. He fell back in the bottle and I knew he was "doing" anything that would offer to drop her panties at the end of it so when found out what he had got yet another preggars I just wrote him off. She made him really miserable. He thought for years I would give him one more chance. NOT!

Perhaps it was just accidental, these things happen that way sometimes because some men can be seduced by a temptress, I say best to forgive and forget and give him another chance.

I'd say move on as well, but I guess we all know from experience that splitting up ain't always that easy.
When I divorced my husband, we had to sell the house before we could really do anything. That can take forever, you gotta be lucky. Then both will have to find a new place to live, waiting lists for a council house can be 3 years here, sometimes a bit longer.
In the past you got urgency if it concerned a divorce, not anymore as so many need a house due to a divorce. There simply aren't enough houses.
Then the financial side of things. We have a good well-fare system, but still not easy to make a living with a couple of kids from that. Alimony depends on what the breadwinner makes. If he makes little, he can't afford to pay that, so then there's no alimony.
You got to buy new stuff, furniture, sheets, pots and pans, towels blabla. as you gotta split up what you got between the two of you.
Kids may have to go to a different school, lose their friends etc.

I ended up renting privately, had no choice. Cost us $2000 a month, including gas, electricity. After 9 months I had to move out, but I didn't have another place yet. The stress was unreal, also for the kids, no idea where we'd have to go.
Half an hour before the movers arrived I had found myself a place, a real ****-hole in the middle of nowhere, but beggars can't be choosers, it was that or be on the street with my two kids and all my belongings. It was a bad winter, very cold, no heating upstairs, no double glazing, no insulation. It was hell for my kids... 5 months later I got a council house, so we had to move house again.

And apart from all that, you have to get over a divorce, be there for you kids and so on.

So it's very easy to judge and say "move on", but even if you want to and do have the strength, it isn't always possible straight away or very difficult. What you end up with could be worse than what you got.

I am glad I did it, but I have to add that I could only do it because I had money from selling our house. If we hadn't had that, we wouldn't have been able to split up at all!
