Topic: Benifits of living alone | |
---|---|
Even though we would like to have someone in our lives to spend the rest of our lives with.
I still sometimes like living alone. I can drink out of milk carton. I can watch what I want on t.v.. I dont have to wait for the bathroom in the morning. I can pass gas without having to say excuse me. These are just a few things I can think of. If you have reasons Please list them. |

Who you gonna' get to pull yer finger?
I see your point. If I need the seat down, I can put it down. |

I can come and go as I wish.
I don't have to ask what we should eat..I just eat when and what I want too... When I want that my time I have all I want.. I only have myself to pick up after... |

Sports games are not on the TV 24/7.
But right now I miss watching hockey. |

I always know where things are, and never run out of anything.

It is nice not to have someone around always complaining they are bored, or miserable, or what they ask for is not as good as what somebody else has.
It is nice not having anything around that spits up, throws up, leaks, or spills stuff all over what little I have that is nice. It is nice if I don't eat my dessert it is still in the fridge later. It is nice when I want to read, craft, rest, or work on a project in stages I don't have to put it away rather than have it messed up. It is nice being able to sleep on whatever side of the bed I like . It is nice being able to walk through the house in a towel after a shower and not be pestered. |

I learned at a very young age to entertain myself.. so being in a relationship or not.. I'm fairly consistent in my actions.. however.. I was brought up to be polite even IF alone... and still say excuse me when appropriate.. old habits die hard I guess but now that the KIDS are gone and I'm 'empty' nesting.. I LOVE that I can go to the fridge for that special food item I bought 2 days ago.. and find it's STILL THERE I can watch WHATever WHENever on the tube.. and I don't have to pick up, stumble over, or repeat myself anymore! that said.. alone or not.. both have it's pluses AND minuses.. to a degree! |

"his" friends aren't hanging around 24/7
no obligatory visits to in laws that use up all vacay time (I actually LIKE my in laws - just not the obligations to visit twice a year to the tune of over 500 miles one way....) I am a quiet person that does not watch TV - I would not be able to tolerate TV in my home or anything persist loud noise of any kind no one messes up/takes/uses my stuff and then does not clean up after themselves so nagging is not needed - tho I did relatively little of it when married now I do none. I prefer that. |

I don't have to answer to anyone, like say where I am going and when I will be back. Just go.

no one to try and take control, demand
and think they are going to run your life i would be happier to be single if i let any man try and do that to me even if a man was jealous it doesnt work it shows how insecure they are i had a old bf that tried it all and where did it get him a exite from my life after 23yrs i still talk to him every now and then. and even after he still wants to get backtogether but thats never going to happen |
