Topic: New logo, what do you think? | |
---|---|
I just created a new logo for my website, and would appreciate some feedback on it before I put it to use.
![]() What do you think about the logo? What kind of company do you see using such this logo? Any other input would be of value as well. Thanks :) |

Hairdryers?
You should tell us what it represents.. |

LOL, it was done using the Neonlights font. I filled in the letters with the green.
It's a T and an H, the first letters of the two words that make up the company name. |

T.H. The Hohouse?,,, |

What kind of company do you see using such this logo? Any other input would be of value as well. Thanks :) Logos are everywhere, and every logo is a visual element that serves three main functions: 1. Identification A logo identifies your company in the marketplace. In a quick, visually symbolic way, a logo represents your company to the outside world. Often your logo is the first thing a potential customer sees. It's your first impression, and we all know how important that can be. 2. Distinction If designed well, your logo will also distinguish you from your competition, providing a way for customers to recognize and select you amidst other similar businesses. Is your logo unique? Or can people toss you in a pile with your competitors? 3. Communication Thirdly, your logo communicates something about your company. Sometimes direct, and sometimes subtle, every logo says something about the company it represents. What does your logo say about your company? Classy? Trustworthy? Serious? or Unprofessional? Sloppy? Outdated? Most logos accomplish the 3 functions with varying degrees of effectiveness. How does yours measure up to accomplishing the list? I would first research your competition and then create something that "puts" you in a unique space, yet clearly promotes your business. Think about the attributes of the character of your business that you want your customers to remember... |

TY for the info Head, but what do you think about the logo?

TY for the info Head, but what do you think about the logo? i would like to know what the company does? what it stands for...Maybe its your initials? In general, It's a bit hard to read a T and H in it...at a quick glance It doesn't reflect as a serious type of business, more cartoon, super hero, fun friendly, playful un-traditional style of font Im not sure how those 3 colors tie in to your business |

It's too bright... kinda makes it look cheap/tacky.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess it's back to the drawing board (literally). I'm going to redesign the logo. I'll post the new one, and see what you think about it. Hopefully I'll do better. lol
My strength is in the technical aspect, not in design. I consider myself artistic in the sense that I can appreciate good art, not exactly a creator of good art though. lol |

You are probably already making a new version, but this looked a little disjointed. Try for something that ties together a bit, perhaps? The color/brightness comment was also pretty accurate...but that might depend on the rest of the site and it's appearance.

Here's a more generic logo:

Hey Totage!
![]() I'm really not crazy about the logo above... plz accept this as constructive criticism. For starters, I'm not a fan about initials being the focal point of a corporate logo. IMO, you should look at blue chip companies for ideas and tweek them. Keep in mind, your logo should be "TradeMark-able" in the future if things go well, so don't venture to close to colors or shapes of an existing logo. If I can offer some advice, it would be to design your logo ONCE and to not change it going forward. I love this stuff so let me know if I can help. HeadnHeart's Identification, Distinction and Communication is bang on, Keep it simple and clear. Chq it! ![]() |

I agree with John... needs to represent the site not just be a generic logo. For example Apple computers is an actual Apple... no need for the name the picture says it all. Notice most of them have the actual name in them so you know what it is.

Here's a more generic logo: ![]() I like this one better but it's unless I know what it represents it's difficult to say whether this is representative of what you are hoping to achieve with your business. |

Totage, it would help if you provided more information about the company, such as what kind of company it is. And what the logo stands for.
