The Bible is a book. Opinions about how true it is are personal opinions. Whether you call it "myth, truth, or fiction," is a personal opinion.

It is a fact that the stories in the Bible resemble other myths told in many different times and languages. Stories of a virgin birth abound around many different saviors of mankind, and stories of a great flood exist in cultures where there was no Bible. That to me, is defined as myths.

There may be some common truth attached to all of the similar myths that exist. I don't claim to know how to interpret myths.

I prefer to live in the present moment. We are conscious human beings, capable of compassion and love and that is what we are capable of. I think compassion and love are great things to aspire to. It is my opinion that lack of compassion and love are a sign of the past when humans were not so smart.

So I don't live in the past.

We can and should learn from the past, but it is time to evolve and grow up and stop clinging to the past. It is time to come out of the darkness and live in the light.

Well I for one hope that we don't have to bomb Iran. But most of
the world supports sanctions against them developing nuclear
weapons because they are a radical Islamic terrorist theocracy
which openly terrorizes their own citizens and has vowed also to
attack other peaceful nations including the U.S. because they
perceive these nations to be un-Islamic or to have a kind of Islam
which is not the same as the dominant Shiite Govt religion.

It is clearly a good idea to oppose a nation such as Iran from
obtaining nuclear weapons and most of the nations of the world
agree on that point including most other Islamic countries.

Nevertheless Iran continues to try to develop nuclear capability
and if they do not immediately and completely and verifiably stop
their march toward nukes then they will in fact likely be stopped
by force with the consent of the vast majority of peace loving
countries in the world.

This would not be genocide. This would be avoiding genocide.

It is totally up to Iran - but according to the latest news they
seem to be hell bent on forcing the rest of the world to military
action as the last resort to stop their active aggressive illegal
nuclear program.

U.S. may sell precision-guided bombs to UAE-source

Nov 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. government may soon announce plans for a large sale of precision-guided bombs to the United Arab Emirates, a source familiar with the arms sales plans said late on Thursday, as tensions mounted with Iran over its nuclear program.

The Pentagon is considering a significant sale of Joint Direct Attack Munitions made by Boeing Co , adding to other recent arms deals with the UAE. These include the sale of 500 Hellfire air-to-surface missiles about which U.S. lawmakers were notified in September.

The sale of Boeing-built "bunker-buster" bombs and other munitions to UAE, a key Gulf ally, is part of an ongoing U.S. effort to build a regional coalition to counter Iran.

No comment was immediately available from the Pentagon's press office or the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, which oversees foreign arms sales.

Boeing has sold thousands of JDAM bombs to the United States and its allies in recent months as they have replenished their arsenal of the popular precision-guided bombs.

Boeing spokesman Garrett Kasper said the company was unable to discuss the proposed contract since it would involve a foreign military sale, something that would be discussed at a government-to-government level.

The proposed sale, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, would expand the existing capabilities of UAE's air force to target buildings such as the bunkers and tunnels where Iran is believed to be developing nuclear or other weapons. The newspaper said Washington was eyeing the sale of 4,900 of the so-called smart bombs.

Tension over Iran's nuclear program has increased since Tuesday when the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that Tehran appeared to have worked on designing a bomb and may still be conducting secret research to that end.

Would that include innocent Men Women and Children.

be trying to eliminate and totally destroy Iran's nuclear program
would do their best to avoid civilian casualties.

On the other hand, Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaida, Al-Aqsa
who are supported by Iran, Libya, Lebanon and Syria ARE trying to
kill innocent women and children with their attacks and as many
as possible.

This is why they should never get access to nuclear weapons!

Whether or not it would actually happen is unknown but the truth is that the US and Israel think there is a serious chance of Iran using a nuke on Israel ... or even smuggling one into New York harbor in a ship. As long as Iran acts crazy, which they do, there is a serious chance that Israel will take out Iran's facilities with either conventional weapons or nukes. They did this to Iraq to rid Saddam of his nuclear power plant but Iran has buried it's facilities deeply making destruction much more difficult.

During Iran's war with Iraq, Iran would send thousands of ground troops into intense gun and artillery fire in "human waves" with little regard to human loss of life. The thinking is that, with a population of 150 million, the loss of a significant portion still leaves them with plenty of population left and leadership of the Arab/Islamic world for the destruction of Israel.

ANYONE who uses the buzz word Al-qaeda is to be regarded as someone who either believes or is simply spreading lies and propaganda. You are both.
