sure, no real scientest would make such a claim but a strong atheist claims that there is no god at all, which makes him/her every bit as delusional, according to psychiatry, as a christian who claims god created everything. Really? Really? A person not believing into something because there is absolutely no evidence is delusional, wow. not what i said. i said that a person who CLAIMS that there is no god is delusional just as a person who CLAIMS there is a god is delusional. never said a person who doesn't believe there is a god because there is no evidence is delusional. that person is a weak atheist and does not CLAIM it to be fact as a strong atheist would. I believe there are no pegasi on the face of the planet Earth. There is no evidence of any pegasus anywhere other than ancient myths. Does that make me delusional? If not, why should the argument be any different concerning God? |

If you claim there is no God without proof then yeah you are delusional. But since I believe in a pantheistic God in which God is thought of as being identical to the sum of all nature then I can in a way prove God by construction. So I CAN prove God (within my view of the matter) - so the pegasi are simple not germane. |

I believe there are no pegasi on the face of the planet Earth. There is no evidence of any pegasus anywhere other than ancient myths. Does that make me delusional? If not, why should the argument be any different concerning God? because your pegasi is not at alternative ods as god is. and you threw in that 'there is no evidence of any pegasus anywhere' suggesting that to be the reason you DON'T believe the creatures are on the face of the earth. your NOT BELIEVING there are pegasi on earth is not saying you BELIEVE IT TO BE FACT that there are no pdtasi. thee psychiatry diagnosis of delusional is one who believes in a concept in spite of large amounts of evidence for an alternative concept. there are large amounts of evidence that suggests the big bang is a plausible alternative to creationism so to believe creation to be fact is believing somehting supported by no evidence in spite of an alternative explaination such as the big bang with much evidence. for an atheist to say that he believes it to be a fact that there is no god is likewise delusional. to prove that fact he'd have to prove the big bang theory or some alternative theory. of course stephen hawkings says often that a theory can never be proved so that point is moot. |

Citation please for the large amount of evidence for creationism, no sarcasm, i really would like to see. |

mike, you really do seem to have a problem comprehending what i write. nowhere did i even come close to suggesting that there's any evidence for creation much less the "large amount" of which you speak.

seems many different understandings of atheist and agnostic I was tought they are two different things,, that is how I used the term in my post atheism(no god) agnostic(without knowledge of God) atheist(to me) seems like a very FIRM stand (NO God) where as agnostic seems like a refusal to commit to either side(NO KNOWLEDGE of God) I think most self proclaimed christians and atheists are agnostic(no Knowledge of God) some self proclaimed christians insist upon having knowledge and some self proclaimed atheists insist there is No God I have knowledge of God everyday when I see a sunrise and hear the voice of a friend. what more faith is there than faith in the results of creation? I think the academic discussions of the existence of a God often include those who have no personal expereince of faith as a miracle or patience with it as a personal experience yet have a lot to offer in terms of thought provoking ideas (BTW - to me a "miracle" is anything good that happens - the birth of a baby, a smile on a once angry friend...miralces all day every day) our beliefs are our own personal river of time, they can change, deepen and meander and we are wise to be true to this spiritual and intellectual flow rather than trying to resist what our hearts know to be true as well as our minds I think the rise in atheism is perhaps a function of the online community as IRL churches are packed. perhaps the cyber world simply attracts a larger percentage of this community is my thought. And I love to read the posts in here of the atheist and agnostics and even the non Christians as there is so much to learn about the human heart!!! |

How did you come to this conclusion and on what evidence. |

How did you come to this conclusion and on what evidence. relax mike, it's a dating site. it's intended to be entertaining. i came to the conclusion after much reading of books, periodicals, etc., by noted astro and theoretical phsicists and learning of the evidence those authors, tyson, hawking, einstein, etc., consider to support the big bang theory. samples of a tiny fraction of such evidence that these scientists seem to feel supports the theory can be found by googling 'hubble space telescope' but there's obviously much more than pretty pictures that supports the theory. but i see where i might have confused you mike. i did not mean to suggest that I concluded that the big bang was a plausible alternative explanation of the beginings of the universe than what's written in genesis. folks like einstein, hawking, newton and others came to their own conclusions regarding the visible universe and it's begining. i simply read much of what they had to say and what they had to say makes sense to me. being that there is no evidence to support genesis, creationism makes no sense at all to me. better??? |

I am calm, i just felt like i asked the same thing in three different ways for you to reply in a more elaborated manner. |

no worries then mike. but perhaps it'll be less frustrating for you if next time you want me to elaborate on evidence for the big bang you'd not keep asking to see evidence for creationism. lol.

Atheism is silly and an impossible argument. You can't prove
there is no God - no one can so it is a pointless fantasy. |
