Topic: Where in the Genesis is Jesus

Your theory would work, except there's a problem with it. Even after man was made it goes back and forth with God and LORD God.

according to Genesis 1:1 ...God created The Heavens and The Earth
according to Genesis 2:4..Lord God created the Heavens and Thre Earth

Cowboy..didn't you claim that Jesus and God were two seperate entites

which means that either God and Lord God is Yahweh the Father or there are two Heavens, two Earths and one Hell

No, they both made it. One did this or that in the creation of the Earth and the other did this or that in the creation of the Earth.

3:1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

3:5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

So I'll ask again, if they are the same being, why would it swap back and forth between God and LORD God?

since Adam and Eve were incestous love mates born to sin with the command "Be Fruitful and Multiply"...they wouldn't have needed a serpent to manipulate them into sin... the serpent in the garden was most likely God osing as an animal trying to induce them to sin to cause the Fall of man..

Chapter 2 is a recap of chapter 1. If you'll notice it says

2:2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

Then it goes on with telling the creation again in more depth detail of exactly what was done on each day.

You don't listen Funches. Adam translates to Mankind and Eve translates to source of life. They are not singular people.

It used two different titles. Speaks of them in two different persons, thus it automatically says they are two different entities. Genesis does specifically say it, it says God did this or that, then it say LORD God did this or that.

that doesn't matter especially since God goes by many names....if you want to prove it's two entites then provide the passage from Genesis where God states this ...or stop putting words in God's mouth

No, cause I never implied that. The father and the son are one. They are God.

God = capitalized : the supreme or ultimate reality: as a : the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe

3
: a person or thing of supreme value
4
: a powerful ruler

"God" in itself is not a being. There is God the father and God the son. Both are "God", both are our ruler, both have supreme value.

That is why it separates LORD God from God, LORD is a title of the God. Jesus is our only LORD.

They are both "god" They both have authority over us, they both rule over us. Jesus also recognises that his father is greater then he in the following verse.

John 14:28

28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

The term "God" only shows authority over someone/something else. That is why we are also referred to as "gods", know ye not that ye are gods? Cause we have been given dominion over the critters of the world, we are their authority.

nope... you claimed that Jesus was Lord God in Genesis...since no Lord God is mention in Genesis 1:1 then that is an indication that Jesus is not the Lord God that is mention during the times of Genesis 2:7

Cowboy...running to Man's words in the dictionary instead of running to God's Word in the bible is further blasphemy to God

Man's Dictionary can not be used to turn Jesus into The Genesis God...only God's word in Genesis can do that

so either provide a passage from the God in Genesis that states anything about another Godhead ...or fall to your knees and pray to God to forgive you for your heathenous

The bible is written in man's word, where do we go to find the definitions of man's word? The dictionary.

But I am done with you for now, you wish to try an either "anger" me or get me irritated and I will not have that. You continuously argue for no reason, even after you have been shown your error, you continue on. This is a discussion forum, not a debating forum. When you learn how to discuss I'll discuss with you then. You only wish to come here to try to demean people's beliefs. Discussions are for learning and teaching. And since you clearly don't wish to learn, and only try your best to demean the belief, I bid you farewell for now.

Cowboy...as a believer you are suppose to regard the bible as the true word of God, this is why if you can't find the answer in the bible then that is an indication that you are going outside of the belief and outside of God's Word...

this is why for you or any follower to run to the dictionary or one of those satan websites which tend to twist the bible to fit it's agenda is the same as running to Satan

The Gospel according to Cowboy

you tried to claim that Jesus was The Father and that the Father was Grandpa God ...it's you that have the belief that just because you claim to be a Christian that therefore everything you say about the religion is truth when in reality you have done nothing but trashed it beyond what any non-believer was ever capable of doing

.......Question: "Why does God refer to Himself in the PLURAL in Genesis 1:26 and 3:22?".......

Answer: Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, 'Let US make man in OUR

image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea

and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth,

and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'”

Genesis 3:22 states, "And the LORD God said, 'The man has now

become to be like one of US...' "

There are other Scriptures in the Old Testament that

refer to God using the plural. It is also interesting to note

that "ELOHIM," one of the primary titles of God in the Old Testament

(occurring over 2500 times), is in the plural.

Some people have used these scriptures to hypothesize that there is

more than one God. We can rule out polytheism (belief in multiple

gods), because that would contradict countless other Scriptures

that tell us that GOD IS ONE and that there is ONLY ONE GOD.

Three

times in Isaiah 45 alone, He states: “I am the LORD, and there is no

other; there is no God besides Me” (vv. 5,6,18). A second possible

explanation is that God was referring to the angels by saying "us"

and "our." However, the Bible nowhere states that angels have the

same "image" or "likeness" as God (see Genesis 1:26). That

description is given to HUMANITY alone.

Since the Bible, and the New Testament especially, presents God as a

Trinity (three Persons but ONLY one God), Genesis 1:26 and 3:22 can

only represent a conversation within the Trinity. God the Father is

having a "conversation" with God the Son and/or God the Holy

Spirit. The Old Testament hints at the plurality of God, and the

New Testament clarifies this plurality with the doctrine of the

Trinity. Obviously, there is no way we can fully understand how this

works – but God has given us enough information to know that He

does exist in three Persons, - Father, Son and Holy

Spirit....yet....all three persons make up ONLY ONE GOD.

LORD GOD is referring to JESUS...who was the WORD BEFORE He

became Incarnate.

JESUS,WHO IS THE 2ND PERSON WITHIN THE GODHEAD, IS THE ONE IN

THE GODHEAD ,

WHO CREATED EVERYTHING!!!!

This is why Jesus and the Father are EQUALLY GOD ......both

ARE the 2 persons WITHIN the ONE Godhead........including

also ,the

Holy Spirit, which is the third person

WITHIN the ONE Godhead....all 3 persons WITHIN that One Godhead,

make up ONLY ONE GOD.

AND...because JESUS was WITH the Father from the very beginning

(as the Word), JESUS is EQUALLY AS MUCH GOD AS THE FATHER.

One final note:When one sees LORD GOD in genesis, and thruout the

old testament, that is referring to JESUS (THE WORD).

But Jesus is not JUST Lord over us, Cowboy...JESUS is LORD GOD

OVER ALL AND ABOVE ALL.

TThe Father has Given ALLLLLLLLLLL Glory Now to the Son.
