And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.



wait something is wrong....didn't God already create Man in Genesis 1:26 when he said to the angel "Let Us Make Man In Our Own Image"

so now in Genesis 2:7 God created Man again..."Man the Lord" which were to have dominion over the Earth and "Man the Servant" to till the soil and worship him

Notice in chapter 2 it says God breathed into them and man became a living soul. In chapter 1, it never specifies it became a living soul.

Also notice how chapter 1 is worded.

Verse 1:11 says
11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass,
Then verse 12 says
12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed

This shows that just because God said let there be, doesn't mean that is when he created it. So as we can now see verse 1:26 was God saying let it be, and verse 2:7 is when it happened.

wow now I get to ask you a cool question to see if religion is of the same belief as the paranormal

THE QUESTION:
isn't a spirit a living soul....or is the spirit an "Undead Soul"

I asked this question because "God in Genesis 1:26 stated "Let Us Make Man In Our Own Image" ..that statement leaves the door open in which God could created that version of Man as spirit ....wouldn't spirit be the same as a living soul...or is spirit "Undead", in which it would be in a realm of limbo being neither alive nor dead

A trinity is not a plurality.

please find a better 'proof'.

Jesus is no where in the first part of creation.

However one might argue that the 'mother mary' figurehead may be...

after all mankind WAS created in the image of god.

'Let US make man in OUR own image'...

and MAN consists of a male and a female.

God the father, God the mother.

If you wouldn't quote/read just parts of the post but the whole post in all you would have the answer.

I even gave another set of verses for an example. I'll give it again.

Verse 1:11 says
11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass,
Then verse 12 says
12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed

When God said let the Earth bring forth grass, he was not putting grass on the Earth. He was making a plan more or less, then in verse 12 is when he did put the grass on the Earth.

Just as in verse Genesis 1:26 he was stating the plan to make us. Then in verse 2:7 he did make us.

those verses do not explain why man were made twice

Man wasn't made twice. Just as God didn't put the grass on the Earth twice. Man wasn't created till verse 2:7. 1:6 was merely referring to what God was going to do.

Just as verse 1:11 God said let the bring forth grass, but the grass wasn't put on the Earth until 1:12.

verse 1:11 to verse 1:12 represent no significate time span

in the time of Genesis 1:26 God creates man in his image and in his "likeness" and gives Man dominion over all life on Earth and said they could eat from any tree ....it states that Man was made in the likeness of God which points to a creation of Man that is of spirit

in the time of Genesis 2:6 God creates Man from the dust as a living soul which implies flesh and blood and with the Entire Planet at hand, God place man not in a position of dominion over the Earth but in a garden to be tilled that just coincidently contains The Tree of Good and Evil which they were forbidden to eat from which in the time of Genesis 1:26 Man could eat from any Tree

these two bible verses leaves the door open to justify a multitude of other religious beliefs ..from scientology to reptilians to Aliens

Jesus is all over in Genesis

God never created anything in verse 1:26, only said let us make him in our image.

26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Then in verse 2:7 It specifically says God created man. Verse 1:26 never says he created anything. Only LET us make man in our image. Never says he does do this till verse 2:7.

IN GENESIS 1:28.... WHERE GOD BLESSED THEM AND SAID, BE FRUITFUL

AND MULTIPLY, AND FILL THE EARTH,AND SUBDUE IT ; AND RULE OVER

THE CREATURES OF THE SEA, AND THE FOWL OF THE AIR,AND OVER EVERY

LIVING THING THAT MOVES ON THE EARTH."



NOW.......GO TO GENESIS CHAPTER 2 VERSE ONE.


WHAT DOES IT SAY?

IT SAYS....

"THUS THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH WERE COMPLETED, AND ALL THEIR

HOSTS,

BY THE SEVENTH DAY GOD COMPLETED HIS WORK WHICH HE HAD DONE,

AND HE RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORK WHICH HE

HAD DONE."



NOW COWBOY, ....IF IT SAYS GOD RESTED, THAT MEANS THE CREATING

WAS DONE!!!

THAT IS WHY GOD MADE ALL THINGS TO REPRODUCE AFTER ITS OWN

KIND.....CAUSE GOD HAD DONE ALL THE CREATING IN GENESIS CHAPTER

ONE.


AND HE RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY...PERIOD.

THAT MEANS...GOD'S WORK WAS DONE!!!!

since both you and Cowboy claim that God created man once and not twice, then the only way that Man could have carried out God's command to replenish the Earth could have only be accomplished through incest ..

so I guess the question to ask is...is incest a sin?

if marriage and sex to a sister is a sin and you claim that God only made Man once and not twice....

then can you explain what God meant by " Be Fruitful and Multiply and Replenish the Earth",if Eve were the only woman on Earth

The Hebrew word "adam" literally means man as in mankind, humanity, and not an individual being.

God didn't start with just 2 people, Adam and Eve. He made man and woman.
