i don't know it just seems christians look down more on atheist than the other way around, atheist are just stepping up more cause of the way christians think of us,anyways save a christian ride an atheist why must a preference involve looking down on anyone IF I prefer tall men, and there are an abundance to choose from,, why does that mean I am looking down on short men? its just a matter of preference, christians have them like anyone else fitness buffs probably arent interested in the overweight very often harvard grads are probably not interested often in high school dropouts people can lean in the directions of those they feel will 'relate' to them best and who share their values,,,nothing wrong in it,,, It's a cheap road-show... er, that's how I see it. |

I've been an Atheist for more than 20 years. I have, from time to time, come across people that seemed to fear (I don't think that's too strong of a word) me. As if having no relationship with god means I must be completely without morals and may kill them for the slightest infraction. However, this is not the norm.
I haven't had any trouble finding women to date. In fact, it's never been an issue for me. I have dated Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and many others. Perhaps you take Atheism to seriously? |

I was going to suggest prisons. But they probabaly find God faster than anyone. So, I am thinking nunneries. The burn-outs maybe. But judgemental people are everywhere and their opinions are so much more valuable than yours. And you wonder why Christian women won't date you??? It seems anyone can be judgemental and closed-minded, these two posts proved that to me... |

psst...RKISIT... Atheists do that to Christians too. I mean look at General Religion. Intolerance is all over on all sides. Non Christians look at me and ASSUME I am going to convert them or preach to them or something.
Not all Christians are the same any more than not ALL of anything is the same. To me it boils down to having similar interests and beliefs. As MsHarmony said...body builders might not want to date someone that doesn't work out Non smokers/drinkers might not want to date smokers/drinkers People that don't want kids might not want to date someone with kids. I am a country girl and probably wouldn't enjoy dating someone into rap you have cooties....I have cooties...but they are good cooties |

share the cootie love This is probably why I'm single. I can't find any one that will tell my I'm always right (regardless of what it is) Just 3 little words from a man...."You are right" Is that too much to ask for???? |
|
|
|
Yeah, RKISIT, I've been finding that too. They want to convert you, or want you to shut up and not speak to them about atheism. Ahh, well, such is life. I'd rather be a single hypocritical atheist then date a hypocritical Christian. LOL. You are an endless fount of amusement to me. You want to "speak to them about atheism", but you don't want them to speak to you about Christianity? I fixed your last sentence for you. Trying to convert someone is much difference than speaking to them about something such as atheism or christianity. |

Trying to convert someone is much difference than speaking to them about something such as atheism or christianity. If you are an atheist, what more needs to be said? "I really don't thank God for this beautiful day, because God doesn't exist?" What do you have to say about atheism that isn't contained in the word "Atheist"? There are 774,746 words in the Bible. There is a lot of information, doctrine, history and wisdom in the Bible. I can see what a Christian would have to say, but WHAT does an Atheist have to say other than "There is no God"? |

I've been an Atheists for "no your not".
Oh, that's right. Sorry wrong thread. Do you know where the goodie tooshoe thread is? |

Ah, so you're one of those who thinks it's ok for christians to talk about christianity to everyone, but not ok for atheists to do the same. |

Really? They call you "demonic?" Could it have something to do with the weird demonic looking picture in your profile? Or calling yourself "athiest" rather than "non religious" or "other"? For me, when a person makes it a point to label themselves atheist, my impression is that they are flat out making a statement I DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD, PERIOD. Then on top if it, a scary looking picture.... well all I can say is quit whining. |
