Topic: Why can't we get along

I pop in here from time to time and see that most here want things to devolve into an onlight fight. I am a serious christain but have friends from all walks of life. each one has a world view that in many ways is uniquely their own. I see so many people religious and non religious alike who for some reason feel the need to "convinced" others that their own personal view ( even if it has many things in common with others view) has to be the one and only. I sincerely cannot comprehend this deep need to prove that your own view is the only one who is right. I look at the universe in awe and can see that there is room for all to look upon it in their own way and not make mine any less real to me. Science is an awesome thing but every legitamate sciencetific mind admits there are still so many unexplainable things in thie universe to prove we humans have barely scratched the surface. And any religious person who actually reads their owns texts can see God's ways are far beyond our understanding. I can not say what is the most correct since I admit my knowledge is finite and vastly inadequate to even attempt so. I am an educated person and have alot of knowledge both scienctifclt and religiously. I dearly love an honest discussion but at the end enjoy being able to agree to disagree. I feel nothing but love and respect for everyone. I understand most oragized religious prganization do not see things this way. I disagree in a large part with every one. Not because I feel they are wrong but because I understand that each one is some persons interpretation of what they believe their text means. Almost every side uses almost eaxactly the same passages to "prove" their point. On the scientific side they use theories, which are definted basicly as an educayed best guess, to prove that only they are right. Again I have no issue with this process but I do have an issue with completely ignoring any other point of view that disagrees with this theory. Many major break throughs have come from those who ignored the current theory. So to grab hold of anything and hold it to the exclusion of anything else is simple inconcievable to me. Even things that were thought proved have been disproved take Einsteins theories that completely revolutionized the understanding of physics of his time. So to me it seems both sides have a tendency to discount anything that does not match a persons own ideas. I like others admit I can and have fallen into the same trap. But I do try hard to step out of myself to see things as they are and not as I want them too. I search for the truth of things, and see the worlds only hope is for all to seek it as well. I know many people will jump in to "prove" i am wrong because what I say upsets their own personal apple cart. But as John Lennon sang Why can't we all get along?

People are animals Or Evil creatures by nature It takes a lot to hold those things back and be "Civilized" Why not a bit of everything, like many bigger people may say/use in their vocabulary (or I do at least) Why can't I get along? That is a question not to be answered, by me at least I like to see a good fight, entertainment is a big business ^^ but I may be wrong about the whole thing Curse me out shot me sue me Do as you may I just thought this was interesting for the moment ^^

We may agree or disagree on here.... we may even argue.... we are all humans given a free will , with the freedom to voice our differences on here if we want to...helps us all to also learn from each other and grow... but regardless, I believe we all love and care for each other on here, despite our differences. I think our religion chat family, gets along just fine on here.

Why people can't get along. There is one simple root problem. The same root cause of poverty, war, the environmental issues, greed, human competition instead of cooperation, and all of the truly global problems with society. This one root cause is a race of thought-forms that have taken over the control of every human being over the age of two on the planet. They don't have bodies, but they are an aware energetic life-form. This, combined with their natural invisibility (they are a specific shade of black that absorbs the entire visible light spectrum, leaving no light to bounce back off of them and to our eyes.) makes them quite hard to prove. However, if you look at things from a sociological perspective, you will notice that no matter where someone grows up, no matter their beliefs or culture, people all over are mainly concerned with "me, me, me" This self-importance is a sign that the only energy left is at the bottoms of the feet. That energy is very selfish and self-centered. That is my two cents on this topic. Questions? Comments? Am I crazy and full of lies, or am I the only sane one in an insane world?

That is a hard question to answer. There are many factors why people can't get along. Just know that if one advocates the importance of peace and compassion, tolerance,and understanding we can find more people getting along. That is the most you can do and it is a big step if we are "mindful" in what we say each day to others.

On the scientific side they use theories, which are definted basicly as an educayed best guess, to prove that only they are right. not so in the least. from a well known scientist: "A good theory will describe a large range of phenomena on the basis of a few simple postulates and will make definite predictions that can be tested. If the predictions agree with the observations, the theory survives that test, though it can never be proved to be correct." scientists live to "one up" each other. theories are tested not to prove them but to determine that the theory will hold up to the strict scrutiny of scientific methodology, especially when new information becomes available. the perfect example of this; for three centuries scientists held newton's law of gravity as the gold standard. then one morning al einstein was enjoying his morning coffee and thought, "jeez, sir isaac was full of do do. gravity doesn't work that way. gravity works because a large mass warps space. the stuff actually bends around things like stars and planets." well not in so many words of course but you get the idea. now hawking, de grouse and others are questioning albert's thinking.

GOD NEVER JUST LEFT US IN THE DARK... TO BE FOREVER QUESSING... WONDERING... AND NEVER KNOWING WHO HE IS. NOPE!!! NOT TRUE. GOD SHOWS US WHO HE IS. EVERYDAY. JUST LOOK AROUND US. ALSO.... GOD SHOWS US THE WAY TO COME BACK HOME TO HIM. HOW? THRU HIS WORD..... WHICH POINTS US TO JESUS..... WHICH THRU HIM IS THE WAY BACK HOME TO GOD. ALSO GOD TELLS US IN HIS WORD HOW WE MAY KNOW HIM. THOSE WHO SEEK GOD WILL FIND HIM. AND GET TO KNOW HIM. BUT HERE IS THE KEY : GOD WAITS FOR US TO SEEK HIM.......FIRST..... WITH OUR WHOLE HEART!!!! UNTIL THEN GOD'S HANDS ARE TIED..... SIMPLY BECAUSE GOD CANNOT AND WILL NOT EVER GO AGAINST HIS WORD AND FORCE US TO KNOW HIM. OTHERWISE GOD WOULD BE TRESPASSING AND INTRUDING UPON OUR FREE WILL.

Religion is one of the biggest reasons we don't get along. Dogma does not always equate to truth.

And This Is WHY GOD is about RELATIONSHIP and NOT about RELIGION.... But when you believe in a book and a certain way of living and ONLY that way, it is still very much dogmatic. Hell, modern religion and Christianity itself is based upon these things. You can't separate them.
