We just got smacked with our first snow/ice storm of the year. I go outside to warm up the van but all the doors were iced shut. I was chipping furiously at the ice when I hear dogs barking at my neighbors place and I am thinking "What kinda @$$hole has thier dogs outside on a night/morning like this?"

Then...here they come...MY dogs. Romping through the snow and Ice. I have no idea how they got out...they were apparently outside through the entire storm and literally have snow balls and ice crusted up on thier coats. I swear, I thought they were snoozing on the couch.

Anyway....got em thawing out and giving them towel rubbies. From the looks of things...I doubt will be able to make it to work.

Yesterday was 72...right now it is 16 with a wind chill at -5.

Wow....what a weather change! I thought that only happened in Indiana! We got the ice last night and a little snow...but at around 2 this afternoon, the 8 inches are expected to begin falling, with more ice mixed in. Everything here is pretty much shut down, and the news crews are saying that this storm is expected to last through Thursday!!! We haven't had a winter like this since '78 and I am not looking forward to it at all. I think this Spring will be one of the most welcome seasons in history
