I don't mean to intrude, but I couldn't help noticing the tat. It's nice. A dragon and phoenix? We are waiting on fireflys to do some 'splaining. It is beautiful :-) Don't bend over. Either that or it represents an interspecies beastiality orgy about to kick off. thanks guys! That thing took nearly 4 hours and Scott D. had a great time creating it for me! oh krupa, if only I could make science create me that progeny...I mean why become a geneticist right? LOL! Souf, it's on my left thigh! red_lace, yes it is a dragon & phoenix, but also a "stylized yin-yang" as krupa mentioned! The dragon/phoenix symbolizes soul mates and the yin yang the balance between dark & light, of course. The dragon represents me so on the female or dark (yin) side. It was a bittersweet experience to reconnect with my phoenix, but now I am glad that this happened. I have finally been able to heal the wounds from the last 7-10 yrs of my life and remove some mental/emotional blocks that have made success in the life path I have chosen much more difficult for me! This tattoo has a lot of meaning for me and I am so please with how it came to life!!! I don't care who you are...my tattoo artist is BADAZZ!!! |

It is gorgeous.
Do colors fade? Was it painful? |

It is gorgeous. Do colors fade? Was it painful? thanks souf! fading colors depends on many factors, but my skin tends to hold color well! My first tattoo has red, blue, brown & green and still looks just as great today as it did when I got it 15 yrs ago! No colors have faded from the one I got last September for my dad so high hopes that this one stays just as beautiful forever, but he doesn't charge extra for touch ups! The same artist did the one from last year too! The red he used in the phoenix was a new color he had just gotten in called "lipstick red" & I was the first person to get a tattoo from him using that color. I can't quit staring at the thing! |

The red is indeed, hypnotic..
just seems..impossible :-) |

Was it painful? Most of it was not too bad, but my eyes teared up when he was shading the dragon's tail & wings. A friend went with me to watch me wriggle in pain and said..."you took it like a man"-LOL! There was a guy getting tatooed by another artist that was wimpering and squirming & I never made a sound...well, other than gabber-jawing anyhow! |

I just saw the funniest thing. I look out my window and there are 2 boys sword fighting with sticks. One is really little maybe 6 years old the other is alot bigger and probably 12. This little dude goes ninja on this boys azz. He did a couple spin moves and cracked this boy across the knee. Did another spin move and smacked him over the head. The older boy is still chasing him around the parking lot........

I like looking at artistic tats, but I don't think I'll ever have one. I have this thing for needles. I can inject on anyone, but if one got pointed back at me, I might faint. So I will forever remain a spectator. |
