this is the most frustrating misconception, First because it implies that religion is the only reason religious people are kind or that wanting what one deems to be BETTER for someone is specifically a religious and negative trait

I was, like most religious people I know, a kind person in character my whole life , BEFORE I even understood anything about religion and actually was most drawn to religion because of the KINDNESS shown by Jesus Christ

as far as conversion, its also not something exclusively or primarily religious, in scientific terms its called EVOLUTION and in political terms its called ADAPTATION to the culture, a certain amount of it is necessary, a certain amount of studying is necessary for becoming a lawyer and a certain amount of reading is necessary to find a path to God(although there are exceptional prodigies who could do either without the same resources others might need)

1. We are ALL sinners(negating some view that anyone is LESS than anyone else)

2. WE all can choose our path, but the destination at the end of that path is already determined( you can take 95s to get to ohio, but its already a fixed deal that you wont get there if you take THAT path to do it)

3. God loves us all, he wants us to make good choices and take paths which lead to him and he tries to give us the resources to figure out that path. But he doesnt force our path or hand it to us.

Science is used to understand the explain the universe. God (as the Christians, Jews and Muslims define God) isn't part of this universe. So Science cannot be prove or disprove the existence of God.

Here's something for you to chew on: How do you know you can trust science? It can't be proven through science, because that's circular reasoning. There is no evidence to prove that you can trust science, other than your faith that science is accurate.
