They could be perceived as an Illegal if;

During a traffic stop or checkpoint they have no license, ID or Green Card. They be detained and verified through fingerprints, family members bring proof, etc.

While being processed, SSN doesn't match.

That's just a couple ways I can think of.

Might be better to investigate Law Enforcement Memos to find out how they are told to do it.

I'd bet they have a plan.

Doesn't make it right either way.

And okay, so tell me how you "suspect" a person of being an illegal alien on sight as the law allows without being prejudice and discriminatory.

Discrimination and prejudice is illegal

Body language and through the course of general questioning, the way they do it now!

body language tells us if someone is illegal(undocumented)?

wow, can it predict if they are a graduate too(degreed)?

Really? Your better than this!

Appeal til their heart is content.

They will lose if the law remains the same as it is now. It promotes racial profiling and that makes it illegal.

I think its a legitimate question. The crime of being illegal in immigration is a matter of proper documentation. It is not like theft or dwi where there is a tangible item or condition to observe.

I am just asking how we can profile whether people have the proper identification and whom do we have the just right to single out for such questions?

do they have the right to enforce the law, is that what your asking?
if they have proper documentation/identification, what is the problem?

I cant really explain it to you , the feeling, as an american , of being treated as if you have done something wrong when you havent. I have been the INNOCENT one who was asked to empty my purse,, and the fact that I hadnt STOLEN anything didnt make it any less awful and demeaning an experience. If there is evidence leading up to a suspicion,, BESIDES what one looks like or what ethnicity they are,, I dont have an issue. I have an issue with racial profiling in SPITE of any relevant evidence though,,,,
