Topic: Christian dope heads going to hell. | |
---|---|
Hey, I didn't make this up...it's in the "book". Alcohol is a drug so therefore if you drink this drug you're a dope head. It's only fair. If you reply "Jesus made water into wine" and think that negates the "truth" then you'll be in good company when you arrive in hell (according to the bible).
~~~ “nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God” 1 Corinthians 6:10. “He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.” Numbers 6:3. “Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die:” Leviticus 10:9 “You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink. I did this so that you might know that I am the LORD your God” Deuteronomy 29:6. “Now see to it that you drink no wine or other fermented drink and that you do not eat anything unclean,” Judges 13:4. “Wine makes men foolish, and strong drink makes men come to blows; and whoever comes into error through these is not wise” Proverbs 20:1. “Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks” Isaiah 5:22. “But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.” Isaiah 28:7. “..and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards” Matthew 24:49. “For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.” Luke 1:15. “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” Luke 21:34. “Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. Romans 13:13. “Envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” Galatians 5:21 Plus a few dozen more you can find in your little fairytale book thing…as for my view of adults drinking? CHEERS! unless of course you’re a Christian then YOU’RE GOING TO HELL. Repent ye SINNERS, drink not from the tit of the addictive drug beast! This post was inspired from this report. "Practicing What they Preach: Most Evangelical Leaders Abstain from Alcohol A family history of alcoholism and religious teachings were among the reasons cited by the 60% of U.S. evangelical leaders who said they don't drink alcohol socially, CNN reported June 24." Wait, isn't that also 40% of them who are going to HELL!... |
Yes drugs, drinking, and all that party stuff is a sin. But there is always a chance to repent and ask for forgiveness of your transgressions. And there is a big difference from drinking some wine here and there and being a drunkard. We are to remain in a sober mind. |
Im christian and I dont drink...
I do smoke cigerettes though... which I have been working hard using the patch and the gum to quit. If it werent for sin, we wouldnt need church the same as we do. Christians are admitted sinners... This is News here? Also.... It doesnt say in the bible all sinners go to hell... quite the contrary. |
It's as simple as just stop doing the sinful things of which will cause one not to receive the gift of heaven. No one is "damned" we ALL have a chance to share the gift of heaven. Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. |
We still have a chance to repent and ask for forgiveness. NO ONE is "damned" to hell for something they have done. There is always that chance if they stop, and seek forgiveness. |
I wonder what will be "discovered" in the Bible in the near future??? |
Romans 13:13. “Envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” Galatians 5:21 Plus a few dozen more you can find in your little fairytale book thing…as for my view of adults drinking? CHEERS! unless of course you’re a Christian then YOU’RE GOING TO HELL. Repent ye SINNERS, drink not from the tit of the addictive drug beast! This post was inspired from this report. "Practicing What they Preach: Most Evangelical Leaders Abstain from Alcohol A family history of alcoholism and religious teachings were among the reasons cited by the 60% of U.S. evangelical leaders who said they don't drink alcohol socially, CNN reported June 24." Wait, isn't that also 40% of them who are going to HELL!... That's just too darn funny... Next I suppose we'll find out that murderers and thieves will "go to HELL". I wonder what will be "discovered" in the Bible in the near future??? anyone and everyone will go to hell no matter the sin if they do not repent and seek forgiveness. We are ALL sinners, and there is only one sin greater then any and that is denying the lord our God. Other then that ALL sins are equal. Doesn't matter if you murdered someone or stole a candy bar. That is still disobedience to God in every way. |
Im christian and I dont drink... I do smoke cigerettes though... which I have been working hard using the patch and the gum to quit. If it werent for sin, we wouldnt need church the same as we do. Christians are admitted sinners... This is News here? Also.... It doesnt say in the bible all sinners go to hell... quite the contrary. exactly, that's what i was getting at with my post after this. We still have a chance to repent and ask for forgiveness. NO ONE is "damned" to hell for something they have done. There is always that chance if they stop, and seek forgiveness. Yep, I believe no matter what it is... its up to God... not for me to judge. Oops, did you know that the bible condemns Astrology too? Sorry..lol. http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/astrology.html It doesnt condemn astrology... its for God to judge, not you. Hi Earthy how have you been? Haven't seen you for a while. |
Hey, I didn't make this up...it's in the "book". Alcohol is a drug so therefore if you drink this drug you're a dope head. It's only fair. If you reply "Jesus made water into wine" and think that negates the "truth" then you'll be in good company when you arrive in hell (according to the bible). ~~~ “nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God” 1 Corinthians 6:10. “He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.” Numbers 6:3. “Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die:” Leviticus 10:9 “You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink. Wait, isn't that also 40% of them who are going to HELL!... Heaven isn't an easy to receive. It's not a given. You have to earn your way into heaven. Yes drugs, drinking, and all that party stuff is a sin. But there is always a chance to repent and ask for forgiveness of your transgressions. And there is a big difference from drinking some wine here and there and being a drunkard. We are to remain in a sober mind. No, it's pretty cut and dried dude...drink of wine or strong drink and you cannot enter your little heaven thing up yonder in the sky. The point of this thread is about the cherry picking Christians do to justify discriminating while ignoring their own hypocrisy...pretty obvious...and btw way "drugs, drinking" are the same thing so why did you repeat yourself? Society and religion cannot have it both ways by being ignorant and defensive about their choice of drugs. I am an atheist who does not do narcotic drugs like alcohol. It's my choice to remain sober...what are the Christian's excuse to remain as dope heads? It's pretty clear in all the various versions of "god's words" that drinking drugs is a helluva "sin". imho, as usual, most of the 'passages' are taken out of context for example “He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.” Numbers 6:3. was PRECEDED by 6:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD In reference to a ceremonial period which was voluntary and not a prerequisite to heaven as to the rest, I am sure in context it becomes much clearer that there is no mention of going to hell or prerequisites to the kingdom of heaven with the exception of the first passage which actually refers to DRUNKARDS , which is an alcohol abuser, not a drinker,,,,anymore than glutton would refer to EVERYONE who chose to eat,,, |
Sorry..lol. http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/astrology.html It doesnt condemn astrology... its for God to judge, not you. As a humanist I will judge things by facts..FACT is that alcohol is a drug and plays a part in most all of our social ills. I live in a state that ranks #1 for child abuse deaths...#1 factor in that stat? ALCOHOL. Oklahoma also ranks 6th in spousal deaths..#1 factor? ALCOHOL...well, read the rest here and to those who are "bible people" then I ask WHY are your "values' so skewed? Really? Alcohol plays a part in: "50% of all battered wives" "85% of all homicides " "65% of all child abuse " "55% of all domestic arguments" "75% of all divorces " the rest here: http://www.alcoholthenarcotic.com/I_AM_ALCOHOL.html Also, a CDC study in 2002 indicated that 50% of all unwanted pregnancies (mostly teen) involved alcohol use. So while my state spends time passing anti-abortion bills (which are always overturned due to their violating the Constitution) they completely ignore the teen drinking epidemic....in this red "values" state the Christians IGNORE the teen drinking epidemic. NOT one ounce of prevention? And since another study shows that 50% of the parents are the ones GIVING alcohol to their kids...then WOW huh? How many of those parents are Christians? In Oklahoma you can bet MOST of them. IF only the Christians would read their own bible and stop drinking then we can reduce these ills....oh yeah Jesus turned water into wine...so forget about it...keep beating your wives and kids in the name of Jesus Juice! PS: According to the NIH and the NIMH both say that women should have no more then 1.5 ounces of alcohol in a 24 hour period (men 3.0)...anything over that is: wait for it. wait for it. DRUG ABUSE! As in what DOPE HEADS do...abuse drugs...so if you want to lamely reply to defend your drug abuse don't bother, facts are facts, you drink that crap then you are a dope head...and going to hell...lol. CHEERS! |
abuse and use are not the same
one who has SEX, could be a husband or wife one who ABUSES sex could be a pimp or prostitute one who Eats is human one who ABUSES food is a glutton One who drinks wine is one thing one who ABUSES alcohol is quite another |
