i want to see that. I have been watching the paranormal ones lately. I want to see the new one. But I hate watching one without seeing the ones before. Even if they are isolated storylines.

So I finally saw "Avatar" on HBO.

Could someone please explain to me why this movie was supposedly good? I didn't really see the draw. Sure, the animation was good, but when you spend that kind of money it should be.

I watched Life as You Know It today and it was pretty great actually. Totally adorable, the baby was too cute, Katherine Heigl is the most awkward woman ever and Josh Duhmel...well, he's fantastic.

And we also watched Remember Me with the dude from Twilight. Awful. Just...so...awful. For a minute there I thought it was gonna work out but then not so much.

Mid-August Lunch

A delightful Italian film. The director cast family friends and a couple of women from the seniors centre to play the women ... quite a testament to non-actors and a high calibre director.

Crucible Of Horror 1969- Decent British retelling of Diabolique.

House By The Cemetery 1981- This is one Fulci flick I've never been able to get into. I re watched because it was included in a set I got. I normally have high tolerance for badly dubbed movies, but the kid Bob, wow...poor kid, he comes off looking like a horrible actor thanks to whoever provided the dubbing, which of course is the typical older person trying to sound like a child dubbing.

Yeah, I felt the same way. I'm glad I had rented it instead of spending $10 at the theatre. FYI, I also felt this way about The Village from M.Night Shamalamading.frustrated

I know the guys are left out of this one, but I just saw Sex in The City 2 last night. I liked it. The reviews said it sucked (i know, i don't really listen to them anyway). I thought the message was very good and I LOVED the gay wedding with Liza Manelli.  laugh happy

Black Death with Sean Bean
a light-hearted romp about the outbreak of the bubonic plague in England.

That's from Chris Smith who also did the excellent Severance and Triangle. He's one of the best new directors of horror. When people talk about new Masters of horror, I don't think Rob Zombie, I think of guys like Smith who are doing something original in the horror genre.
