Dating, ummm, we thought we had it figured out when we was young... you catch a glimps of someone, you start a conversation if a "feeling" like butterflies, throat swells, hard to swallow, hands sweat, knees shake, can't get them out of your head... then you move on to the next step...do something together, over and over until either you fall madly in love- end up married(maybe)start a family(maybe)live happy ever after or you end it (divorce) and move on. Here's what I find hard... if you have been out of the dating area for so many years does the same steps apply?
I agree, we become wiser and we have a better understanding of what we want. I think we tend to guard our hearts more so after going through life with the one you thought was it but ended up being just another face in the crowd.

I'm 48 and a little scared to date again but life must go on ,and yes the rules have changed.

I don't know if the rules have changed.... but the goalposts sure have been moved....

lol,,let me say First,,,meet and get to know the person as a friend here,,,then
go meet them,,as THAT, a friend,,,if there is a Spark to be found.
THEN,,make a future date or THEN, you both will have a better idea about each other...
I've been here a long time and TIME,,,passes way to fast.
Don't be shy about meeting someone YOU feel is a good friend..

I am 35 and have been married 17 years. Have two great kids. In Dec. I was admitted to the hospital with pnemonia my heart stopped 4 times. My wife came to see me before i slipped into unconciousness for two weeks. She brought me homemade cards saying how muched she loved me. Then I came to two weeks later and she was gone. Taking the kids and moving out of state in the process. She gave no explanation and I havent been able to talk to her or my daughters in two months since comming out of the hospital.I am very healthy so am recovered physically now. Have tried dating to ease the lonlieness but I feel like I am doing something bad when I am with other women. I still am in love with my wife but it can never be again. What is wrong with me?
