All this is getting me to wonder..... Okay, so say the authorities got the warrant to check the whole building to look for this ONE MAN..... but while they were looking to find it in HIS computer, they came across other multi-dwelling inhabitants in that building who ALSO had child porn. (Gross, I know). So, would they have had the right to arrest more than one dweller???? Or would they ONLY be able to take the one they knew of since THAT'S what the warrant was about??? HMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! 
if the warrant is for the whole complex....then it covers everyone there under the warant |

They are allowed to search all the computers to find the corresponding IP/MAC address in question and then they can search the computer with that address. They aren't allowed to search every computer in complex for child porn. |

They aren't allowed to search every computer in complex for child porn. unless the warrant says for all the computers without stipulations of only a certain IP addy |

I think every county should have a gallows & sex offenders should be "hung by the neck, till dead." Esp. kid involved offenders. Anything ever happens to kids I care about, GOD help em. I would most definately vote for that. They have got to find a way to find out who these children are. Stop their pain....STOP IT... Kat ps. I know I said I was through with this thread. I had to get away from here for a couple of hours. I couldnt wrap my mind around this. Im with you oldsage...death to a child molester. Kat I truly apologize if you misunderstood why I posted this thread. I do not condone anyone (child/woman/animal) being abused or used. I dont believe anyone else who has participated in this thread has said anything to the contrary. But I admire your stance and feel the same. Reason for my question is just due to the news. I find LEO's do a great job, however, I have a curious nature and I find it helps when I don't know something to ask. No child, woman, no person should be abused or used in any way. I question the authorities, their actions and question the legalities of situations. This was not meant for you to get upset and if you did again I apologize as it was not the intent. 
I was not and am not upset with you hon. It was just the subject, and in my mind the lack of interest of the child and its worse than death life. I understand that some are so involved with their privacy and legality of the laws that exist. I also understand the the law has to so what they have to..to get a handle on travesty's such as this one. Entrapment is an on going thing and has been since I can remember. It is how they find those that break the laws, and deal with them. I am not a friend of it...though I am in these cases. My wish is that I could find a way to help these poor children that have no way to fend for themselves. And in my opinion if checking every single persons pc helps...then so be it.
