Do you think some people sabotage their relationships because they don't know how to handle being in one? Definitely. Not consciously though, at least not totally. |

I wonder how many people simply don't realize that the heart-pounding, fevered pitch of new 'love' doesn't last? Wonder how many give up on a relationship before it has time to evolve into something richer, stronger and actually more intimate? Rather that ruining or sabotaging a relationship, I wonder if many are just unwilling to go beyond the 'I-must-be-with-you-or-I'll-die' stage to the 'I've-never-felt-more-comfortable/accepted/at home' stage? Maybe we've come to equate passion with that initial frenzy of feelings? Not a bad time in and of itself, but when that begins to dissipate, how many lose interest or become bored?
