Being alone is a state of mind, some people are surronded by people but feel alone and others can be by themselves and never be alone. If you are comfortable with yourself you will never be alone. My two cents.

being alone for the rest of ones life is not bad. After all, we come to this world alone, and we leave alone. If you realy think about it, you are alone. There might be people around to share your thoughts, ideas, pleasures and pain. but in sleeping and the moment you open your eyes, you are alone. Find thyself and relish in the pleasure that there is only You and God. You came from nothing and are going back to nothing.

Well, one can only hope that family is with us when we go, but ultimately we do die alone.

To be honest yes sometimes I do... It will take a very special person to be with me and except that I have responsibilities of taking care of my parents and my kids...
