Topic: What does it take to make water 'Holy'? | |

do the research jesus of nazareth he was born of mary.. mary was a
human, that makes jesus a human... |
|
|
|
Mary was also a virgin, no human that has nefr had sex could conceve a
child |
|
|
|
God was definately in the plan

well thats debateable at how you can say she got pregnante... if you
wanted to take the faith perspective then she was filled with the holy spirit ... but still mary is a human jesus is understood to be fully human and fully divine, because put it this way jesus died on the cross for his peoples sins, if jesus knew who he was and knew he was going to heaven and all would be fine up in the good ole holy trinity, then his suffering and his death meant nothing, its his pain as a human that gives meaning to his martyrdom |

well in Matthew it talks about how Joseph wasnt going to marry her. He
even went as far as to come up with a way to send her away without embarrsing her until an angel came and told him that the pregnancy was of divine purpose. Even told him to name that child Jesus. So there is no debate about if the woman was a virgin and if God was his father. He told Joseph that he should still marry her because she was infact a virgin. Jesus came knowing that he was going to be betrayed and die for the sins of man. If you remember the soldiers were telling him "you can save others, but himself he cannot save". He was saving others when he died |

Of course Jesus knew who he was. He said "Before Moses I AM". Clearly
stating that it was he who spoke to Moses, meaning that he is God. Jesus stated many times that he was God's only begotten son. This was also declared by God Himself twice. There is no question in the scripture, Jesus knew who he was and he knew why he was there. In the garden, he showed that he knew what his fate would be the following day and asked God if there was any other way for God's will to be accomplished. Jesus's sacrifice takes it's meaning from the fact that he could have healed himself while hanging on the cross. He could have commanded angels to destroy anyone who tried to harm him. He could have stopped the whole thing at any point, but he chose not to. Jesus's sacrifice is that much more amazing, because he suffered excruciating pain, which he could have stopped at any time, but chose not to out of love. |

dude... jesus was a prophet... he gradually came to know his fate, but
that doesn't mean he knew god was his father, when he says father he also implies god is the father of every human being |

I have to respectfully disagree. Jesus reminded his parents when he was
12, that God was His father. Luke 2:49 ------------------------------------------------------------ And He said to them, "Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father's house?" ------------------------------------------------------------ Notice that Jesus said "My" father, not "our" father? John 8:44 ------------------------------------------------------------ "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. ------------------------------------------------------------ Jesus taught that if you don't follow him, you are the child of the devil. Our relationship with God changed drastically when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. The fall severed our close connection to God, so that we needed an intermediary. Jesus was not a prophet, Jesus was our High Priest. Jesus is the intercessor between us and God the Father. |

From Philippians, Chapter 2:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |

Also:
"But really, people who suppress the truth about God are without excuse. The Bible says that God has placed eternity in the hearts of the sons of men (see Ecclesiastes 3:11). You have an intuitive knowledge in your heart that there is "something out there" and that when you die you will still exist somehow - and not just as a memory or idea. Right now you may believe in your mind and with part of your heart that you have well-grounded scientific or other reasons to deny the reality of your eternal existence, but God has made sure that something in you knows that this is not the truth. The Bible says that, "what may be known of God is manifest in them [i.e. you and all thinking people], for God has shown it to them [to you too!]. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they [you] are without excuse." (Romans 1:19, 20)" From: http://www.christian-faith.com/html/page/how_do_you_know |

If Jesus was a man his sacrifice was incredible. If he was God it was meaningless. |

Well, He was/is both, so now what?
|

i know people may disagree with me, but coming form an academic
background... -- jesus is both fully human and both fully divine --- jesus says my father because he is speaking in relation to himself, however, if you really want me to look up verse for you i can, but god is our father hence why we call him THE FATHER and he is OUR FATHER to think that jesus only thought god was his father would make him a little selfish dontcha thing and as i said before god gave his only son to help forgive his people of their sins; however if his son knows that hey i'm a divine being and i can die here i can do say what i want it isn't going to matter because i have eternal life i am part of this " holy trinity" then it wouldn't mean a darn thing!!!!! its his HUMANITY that causes his death to mean everything... |

not to mention phillipines was written by paul who ... i mean was a
convert after jesus death and lets face it he also said don't worry about anything the end is coming... which obviously 2000 yrs later hasn't occured lol |

|

and spider if you wanted to go earlier than that you can go to where
mary loses him and finds him with the rabbis and jesus is talking to them and tells them he is about his fathers business... or you can go look at a synoptic gospel of the infancy narratives |
