I've always held that evangelists go about their work all wrong.

They go around asking everyone to accept Jesus as their Savior.

But that already assumes that people have already accepted Satan as their Demon.

Evangelists need to start proselyting Satan first. Only after they have successfully proselytized Satan is there any need for Jesus.

In Christianity Satan must come first and Jesus second.

Jesus has no meaning outside of Satan.

Satan gives meaning to Jesus.

At least this is true within the very context of what Christianity holds to be their doctrine.

It's meaningless to ask someone to be 'saved' if they haven't first accepted and understood that there is something they need to be saved from.

Christians are so anxious to get to the part where "Jesus saves" that they totally take for granted the idea that people should already believe that they are at odds with their creator in the first place.

I don't believe that I'm at odds with my creator.

Where did they ever get that idea?

Out of some ancient Mediterranean mythology?

I've never done anything to give my creator a reason to be at odds with me. So anyone who claims such a foolish thing clearly has no idea what they are talking about.

I don't need to be 'saved'.

I haven't done anything wrong.

Go preach to criminals.

How to be saved.....

Find yourself a woman/man and have a great time together covering everything from the most romantic days in Paris, France to eating out at a great restaurant spoiling yourself with the finest cuisine one can ask for.

Have great conversations and enjoy each others beauty immensily.

When you get home, pop open champagne and get some fresh strawberries with candles and a nice fire place if you live up north and enjoy the serenity, peace, and love one can give each other.

Repeat this everyday and I guarantee you that you will be saved.

If you can't afford to go to France and eat out everyday then go to the next best thing and make sure you have great topics to talk about each day that leads to the greatest romance in the world.

which comes as a result of Truly BELIEVING AND ACCEPTING JESUS THE MESSIAH into Our hearts......

Morning Star I bet your a very nice person, but I have to wonder if you talk like this all the time. Meaning daily, to the store clerk the post man etc. Do you preface everything with this type of religious speech as you do in here? And if so, why would you do it here, considering we are all regular folks like the store clerk the post man... etc?

Not being sarcastic but I have seen this sort of thing many times in other forums and I wonder why some do this so often. I think many of us obviously like to discuss religion from differing points of view, but some times it can be a bit stressful to be preached to at every turn.

I didn't exactly know how to approach this question, so forgive me if it hasn't come out very well or if it seems sarcastic because it was not my intention. Just curious and to be very honest it does cause me a bit of anxiety when I see it so often, though I don't expect you to change or stop doing it. Just would love to have that answered as I see it often.

Most Christians preach at every turn because it is a mandate from Jesus. They really have no choice if they are to follow the Bible.

We can't HELP but share...

MorningSong, that is an emotion that all people have when they feel great joy about something. It doesn't have to be a religion. I think that is wonderful that you are so happy with your faith as I am with mine. But, feeling an overwhelming desire to share that joy with others is not confined to Christians.

The truth is that Christians are mandated by Jesus to spread the gospel and convert people.

Trying to convert people, is what religion teaches.

No one can convert anyone to becoming a christian.

That is not what true christianity is about.

That would be no different then, from just converting to any religion.

Christianity is about Salvation...

about being born again...

about re-establishing a RELATIONSHIP back with ABBA FATHER

(thru TRULY believing and accepting Jesus as Saviour).....

it is not about converting to a religion....

cause Christianity was never meant to be about religion in the first place( man did that)...

but it is only about Relationship....back with God....

and is offered to all mankind

I'm not trying to argue with you or say that you are doing something wrong. boo2u posted that it was a bit stressful being preached to so much and I was pointing out to him that Christians don't really have a choice in this matter.

OK so there is a real person in there.. lol. You know, I have met some really incredible people online, and rarely do we discuss what we believe spiritually but there are many times in discussions about life in general you get the feeling of someones insides. Some times I get an amazing feeling of peace when a person says something that strikes me about that person. The conversation having nothing to do with god or jesus...

Like, if there is any thing to being spiritual, you get the feeling that that person exudes that spirit. Am I making any sense?

I think your approach might work with Christians that like talking to each other in the way you do, but if your going to hang with us heathens it will drive us away more than bring us closer. I find I try to scroll past your posts as quickly as I can so I don't feel that irritation. Just trying to be honest...

I remember once when I was obnoxious about spirituality myself about what I believed about Jesus, and though I didn't talk about him the way you do, I never the less irritated the hell out of others.

I couldn't figure out for the life of my why they didn't get it. Then one day many years later when Christians seemed to be getting really pushy, I disagreed with something and all of a sudden I was faced with ME... I started really looking at the bible and what it said and how people actually treated each other in relation to it. I move away from it. But I also learned how irritating I was to others who had a different point of view. The thing is I never really was listening to them, I never really heard what they said to me, I just spewed the rethoric I had learned.

Now I am at the point in life where I feel more free in saying I flat out just don't know. And believe me that was a freedom I never felt before. It freed me to open up to other ideas, and it freed me to just be who I was. As kid I some how got the idea that to be holy or god like that I had to be proving it or practicing it on a daily basis, and after a while I couldn't do anything with out proving something to myself or someone else. I just never realized how obnoxious it was until I was faced with someone who did the very same thing to me, I then recognized it.

I am not feeling all that articulate tonight so I hope I made some sense. If not feel free to ignore my a$$. LOL

I personally would just like to get to know you as a regular person with out your faith walking in before you.. Do you know what I mean or am I totally confusing you and myself....
