I do not agree with hunting just to put a trophy on the wall. I eat all I hunt and fish. It is managed and controlled by laws. Not all people follow those laws, just like any other law of the land. The majority of hunters take those laws seriously and the preservation of the land they use seriously. We clean up messes left by others because we care about the land.

I'm not a hunter, but understand that the herds need to be thinned. I just don't ever want to end a life....but to each his own. I especially don't mind when people use it for food!

i was an idiot and committed a crime out of stupidity

being it was a non-violent crime though,i'm going to talk to some local cops that i know and see if there's any chance i can get it cleared off my record because when i plead guilty, the agreement was as long as i stayed out of trouble during my probation, they would clear my record

Ah.. Once you've hunted and bagged another human, what's left? He was a little guy, but the Game Warden said it was a good kill.

My 16 yo daughter and my 19 yo son both went out today for first day of buck. My father took my daughter out. I think it was one of the happiest days of his life. He spent three weeks getting ready for it, talking about it, looking forward to it. She didn't get anything, but did get a shot off at a doe. Unfortunately she missed it, but she had a wonderful time bonding with her grandfather.

Sometimes it is about more than the kill.

i wouldn't ever be able to hunt but those that do don't bother me. i've no problem eating meat so long as i can't see too easily what it once was.

i do get creeped out seeing deer heads mounted on walls though and i've seen a photo on this site of someone standing beside their kill, holding its head up for a picture that sickened me slightly.

There won't be much middle ground when it comes to hunting. Either people approve or they don't. My brother and my dad were (and still are) hunters. As long as people are eating what they hunt, then there is nothing wrong with it. We grew up eating venison so to me, its just part of whats in the freezer.
