I used to hunt when I was young, dad taught me.. He didn't work in the winter(roofer) and so we ate what he brought home and it was good. Lots of hunters in the family, all have taken the gun safety class and all eat what they take... Yep, thats how it should be done. I don't hunt, but I know how to skin and cook any wild game that is brought my way. |

I can do rabbits no problem. Thats not hunting of course but I do the butcher/skinning process myself. I can do 10 fryers in about 45 minutes. Never cleaned a deer though. Thats probably a little more labor intensive I would imagine. Rabbits have about 5 lb bodies.

Just cleaned a 8ft black-tip shark for a friend. He caught and did know how to clean it. Black tip is easy and you just steak it out with a cartilage running down his back. Its "Good eats"..Blacken it I would say I got about 40lbs out of the deal.Freezer is Packed

I married a hunter..that is where we went on our honeymoon..deer hunting..that was 20 years ago..I don't see anything wrong with hunting if you actually eat the meat that you harvest.
