I'm broke this year so I haven't a care in the world about it...

It's called Christmas and I love it, because it's the day I celebrate my Savior's birth. It's not about receiving it's about giving.

I'm doing the internal "Oh woe is me". I realized that this will be the 12th holiday season I have been without a significant other. 11 of them were absolutely my choice. Just hoped I'd have a special someone to share it with this year. I know, I know.... I have my health, my children, yadda yadda yadda............

Yes, I hate "Xmas". However, I somewhat enjoy Christmas.

Most holidays are VERY depressing for me, and Xmas - Christmas - is no exception.

Well, it was fantastic when it was Christmas and not X-Mas. Sounds like a freakin video game. Christmas is not what it used to be even when I was a kid. But how can you hate it even now unless you're just a scrooge? Even with all the traffic, rushing, putting up lights, etc...isn't it great to just see kids so excited the night before and all the gleaming smiles on Christmas morning? Seems worth the trouble to me.
Maybe if people remembered what it was about and tossed all the PC BS and just made it what it was meant to be, it would be better for everyone. |
