Ok Funches, correct me if I am wrong....

but what I see you really asking here is....

"What was the REASON and PURPOSE and PLAN in God Creating it ALL....
Including Man".

In other words Funches, what you are basically asking is, "Why did God CREATE anything at all..... why didn't God just leave everything a BIG EMPTY VOID..."

"MorninSong" if God is everything then how would a "big empty void" exist ...so are you saying that God's "need" to create was due to lonelyness ...

There are some things that we will never be able to explain, because our minds are finite. We can't see or understand the concept of always existing. We think there always has to be a beginning, because we had to have a beginning. Some things have to wait til we can meet Him face to face and ask him. That's what I am waiting for.

"keepthehope" it was Jesus's mission to explain the mind of God so that it could be comprehended by creations with supposely finite minds ...but Jesus actually showed that God's mind wasn't infinite just aware

why would a omnipotent omniscience omniscient omni-whatever entity lack in it's existence that it would have a need to create ...the addiction of "want" and "need" are for those that lack control over themselves or their environment ..so why would a God have the need to create ... .... this is one of those questions that when asked no believer seem to be able to answer it
Perhaps he wanted some children to keep him company drinker

"SharpShooter"...some people don't know how to care for their children ..imagine if someone treated their children like God did ...

ahh, the big empty void of Gen 1, came about from satans rebellion where he drew a third of Gods children away. God loves his children, rather than destroy them, he destroyed that age, shook the earth like a dusty blanket,(tilted axis, Africa kinda lines up with part of the east coast if your into jigsaws). And allowed his children to be born in the flesh, of woman, innocent of that time, to decide if He would love and follow Gods teaching, or Satans deceptions again, That destruction, of Gods perfect place made Noahs flood look like a gentle summer shower.

"SharpShooter" wouldn't the empty void have existed before God created Satan and the angels ..in fact it would have existed before creation ...which sounds like God was lonely

Even Jesus said we can't know everything about God, and what He thinks. I didn't say God's mind was finite, I said that he is finite. He has always been there. We are finite, we have a beginning. We just can't comprehend that something didn't have a beginning, that was always there.
Jesus mission was to tell about His Father's Love, not try to explain the mind of God. Again He said there was no way for us to know the things of God.

I dont have all the answers and beware of anyone who does; but my understanding of GOD is that GOD to be GOD has no needs. Not a need to create, so why are we here? Maybe that is the real question, and maybe the answer is different for each person, maybe we are all on a different mission.

Very well said!! Although I think the real question is why are they trying so hard to prove there is nothing to all this religious beliefs?

Keepthehope; they are still trying to solve the problem of an empty tomb and a risen savior.

"keepthehope" this is not about humans...it's about why God has the "need" to create humans and if you said that the reason was to teach of his love ..then that equates to vanity

"keepthehope" ...a religious belief may speak more on the belief regarding ones own mentality than it has to do with a belief regarding a God

the belief in a God is in retrospeck to a believer behavior within a given society

which means the more the belief in a God the more delusional the behavior of that believer

I hate Nietzsche, but:

"Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators, the creator seeks - those who write new values on new tablets. Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest."

A divine being that knows neither birth nor death, beginning nor end, created creation out of curiosity. To know what it is to live, life was created. To know time, mortality was created. Creation is the divine force experiencing experience, seeking to learn and know itself through the myriads ways of existing. This was not done out of need, for there is no need for anything to exist. It was simply an experiment to answer the question, "what am I?"

"katsuninkin"...it's apparent that "Nietzsche" didn't do to much thinking when it came to what is a God ...a God that question "what they am" is not omniscient and therefore is not a God

Omniscience is a requirement to be a god? What a curious idea.

I thought that belief is what made a god.

Does the divine think the divine is a god? Does it believe in a higher power? Is the divine an artist, compelled to create, then awed by what it wrought?

"katsuninken"...yes unfortunely that is one of the requirements that makes a real God ...just ask any believer that follows a spiritual deity ..they perfer that their Gods know everything ..I mean let's face it...who wants a stupid God

I was also not aware that lack of omniscience somehow equated to stupidity. Does that mean that mortal beings are stupid?

I am a believer in divinity, and a follower of a "spiritual deity" as you call it. And I consider the divinity I follow to be quite real, yet nowhere in any of my scripture can I find anything requiring this force to be omniscient. Then again, nowhere in the texts is there a definition of what makes the divine divine, save belief.

The secular definition of divine also does not say anything about omniscience, now that I've looked it up. Neither does the definition for god, in fact.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what a divinity "knows" has anything to do with anything. Now what it understands, that's a different story.

"katsuninken"..in the realm of Gods a God that is not omnisicent is stupid ..also since Man is not claiming to be omniscient or a God then it's no reason to apply stupid into the equation.. only those that may follow a God that is not omniscient can make that claim of stupidity ..also the God or the believers of a non-omniscient God can't make claims of the God being Divine since the God and the believers may be mistaken that it is

In most religions, there has to be something first, to be able to believe in it. Now there are some religions that created something, usually an idol, in order to have something to believe in. Omniscience is not a requiremen, because there have been a lot of false gods, that people worshipped. But the One true God is omiscience because He is the One.

good question funches, I don't know though, I know there was a first earth age, before that, I don't know, God may well have been lonely and created his children for company and companionship, perfect, and all was cool till Satan drew away 1/3 of Gods children and caused discord in Gods perfect place. Before that, was a beginning that we are not taught of in my studies anyway. Lots of questions I have, but just go on what I know from study, prayer and trying to learn as much as I can

The way I look at it is that God, Loving his children, and we were in the spirit at that time did not destroy his children but that earth age, allowing us to be born of the water, through woman in the flesh in this Earth age basically giving us another chance. The scripture even says that it grieved God that he had made us in the flesh, perhaps because he knows the weakness of man that entails. But with Christ, our weakness can be forgiven and we can/will prevail in the end.

we are here, another chance from God, because he loved us and did not want to destroy us at satans rebellion in which one third of gods childred followed satan, one third were lukewarm and just stood around basically and went with the flow, whichever way it went was fine with them, and the third that stood then, will stand in the end still. But God didn't want to destroy 2/3 of his children, because of Love, that is why we are where we are today, drinker
