"The caterpillars ate up their eggs." It sounds like an 8 year old kid wrote this. If these creation folks are going to attempt to pass of this literature as "scientific research", they might want to rethink their phrasing on a few of these key concepts. Trust me; you won’t be scoring any points in the scientific community with this dribble. They will eat you for breakfast. Maybe the caterpillars were 80 feet long and 7ft high. I saw this movie with a giant flying moth once and he kicked the S#it out of this giant lizard and the lizard had a baby that couldn’t blow blue fire out of it mouth so the mama lizard stepped on it tail and what do yaaa know a giant blue flame shoot out of the baby lizards Azzz..I mean mouth. Cool movie. Ummm what were we talking about again? ***Godzilla fans will defiantly get this. **** |

I'm sorry but the New testament is a forgery. The entire story is a fabrication. You can't expect me to take it seriously. You have been lied to. Think about it. It is a rewritten Mithra myth. JB not. you have been sold a delusion. it is the truth few find it, and it says so. so try somethingelse. you haven't even got a clue. it escapes you. so escape from being so preoccupied with it. Just say it's not for you and leave it at that. you have no proiof of your opinion. so it does not judtify you bashing and hating to humor yourself. get over it. go your way. peace to you. say no more about christianity and poof!! all your troubles are gone. Yeah right!!! like that will work. You cannot do that. you are too weak. I would be happy to. Unfortunately it is my agenda to reveal the truth about the plagiarized forgery of the New Testament. I'm on a mission from God. It has nothing to do with "Christianity." (Well, maybe it does since all of "Christianity" is based on the plagiarized forgery of the New Testament.) Well, then, we'll just call it "collateral damage." JB no, you didn't. ohhhh, JB |

Christianity has yet to resolve whether or not it accepts the Bible as the literal word of God (which is a serious problem for sane and intelligent people), or the inspired word of God (which makes it a nice collection of stories that inform moral decisions and promote a generally pleasant life-style).

As someone who enjoys a good story once in a while, I have to disagree that the Bible has a nice collection that inform moral decisions and promote pleasant life-style. That's just my opinion. JB |

Well, yeah it's also got a bunch of stories about rape and pillage, and defecation, and the dashing of small children...
But I like the sexy parts... where David describes his mistresses as animals of various sorts that arouse him, and the young girls that "warm" his bed. ... All performed by God's "chosen" people. |

I have to second this. I was astounded by some of what I was reading. Some of it quite provocative and sexually explicit. That’s not necessarily a bad thing and these attributes are all quite human of course. Where is the "poop" story? I’m assuming you are not referring to the study of coprolite? |

I have one BIG question. You admit that Ancient Egypt goes back to at least 3000 BC (3150 BC is general 1st dynasty). If the great flood of Noah happened in 2348BC how come the Egyptians a thriving almost 700 year culture with writing NEVER recorded a great flood ?
I would like FC to please answer this. |

"In the spirit, not the flesh?" Care to elaborate on your phrasing there?

"In the spirit, not the flesh?" Care to elaborate on your phrasing there? If you really want to know more about how I come to my beliefs, would be glad to discuss it in email or something, perhaps not in a forum where so many do not care to hear, that would be kinda like casting our pearls before swine,I hope to see us all in Heaven but my understanding is that will not be so, but the ones that don't make it will not even be remembered by those that do, and here I go starting what I said I wouldn't start, so anyway, have a good morning, I just have to get coffee right now, will return, have a good day |

No problem. I appreciate your honesty and attempt at an explanation. I don’t feel that anyone has to buy into the evolutionary theory. Some do and some don’t. I’m sticking with it until something better comes along. That’s my choice and prerogative. It’s also the nature of my background, just as your life experiences have lead you to have faith in God and Jesus. It’s good in that respect.

Well if you want and have an earnest desire to at least have a better understanding of the concepts held within human evolution and anthropogenesis, I can give that to you. You can question it all you want and please do. There are some modern day Christians, that do accept the theory of human evolution and they find it remarkable. They seem to feel that it is the most logical way god would have gone about creating man. I can’t argue with that assertion at all.

The Roman Catholic Churches official stance is that evolution is a fact. It's called theistic evolution. It is why the Roman Catholic Church is in disagreement with a LOT of Protestant,Southern Baptist churches which teach creationism. |

That’s it! Thanks. I knew there was a specific name for it but I even looked online and couldn’t locate it so thank you Beach. It is a VERY progressive stance for the Roman Catholic Church to take and commendable. I think if they at least allow people the freedom to explore both the bible account of events and the scientific theories, what’s the harm? Allow people to simply accept, reject, question and come to their own conclusions. This assertion that they are somehow "less Christian" for it is obscene in my opinion.
