It's ok brook......it will happen. You have taken the first step in admitting that you want to quit.
I recently fell off the wagon for two days, but hightailed it back on. I know it is hard. Especially when under stress. I was really disappointed when I fell, but it has been a few eeks and Im back on track so any of you who fall off, get right back on and dont beat yourself up. it only makes it harder to catch up to the wagon. |

Haven't had any slip ups yet, think I have it whooped. Just try to get out of situations which makes you wanting to smoke. A good thing to think is Are you going to go through the hardship again? I guess the answer is no so there is only one way and thats the way up with no return see how good the food tastes? |

And you quit cold turkey Robert1652?
I think my biggest problem is the stress of my family and friends that keep me smoking . |

And you quit cold turkey Robert1652? I think my biggest problem is the stress of my family and friends that keep me smoking . Honest to God every time I wanted a smoke I put my shorts on and a T shirt and in the freezing cold in England went for a jog and ran like hell telling myself (Pay back or die)used to get back home breathless and fall flat on the bed and go to sleep. Luckily at the time I did not have a family I was on my own after a break up. But friends I didn't care where my health was concerned I didn't care what they said most of them were smokers but encouraged me to keep it up and sometimes teased me with blowing smoke to my face I used to say "I bet you will die before I do" I am not sure what would have been the situation if I did have a family I am glad I am rid of the trouble.I really am |

Good job Merlin! Keep up the good work! You can do it.
They say the average person tries to stop about 10 times before they finally get it right and those who do it on the first or second try, that it is even better. I'm one of those who fall off the wagon and have again a month ago, but I chased that damned wagon down and jumped right back on and Im on day 4. I have no desire and think it gets easier everytime I jump back on. And I get faster at catching that wagon haha Everyone keep up the good work and remember that we are only humnan. Just stay strong and remember that you are not just doing this for yourself but those around you. It feels great to smell better and feel cleaner. Brush your teeth a lot, and they will get whiter. Your hair will come cleaner, and you wont have that trail of stink follow you into a room. I know I always was selfconsious about walking into church smelling like an ashtray. Of course they loved me anyway, but I knew they smelled it. There are so many benifits of quitting and none for smoking. Great job everyone. |

well, for what it's worth, 6 days in and doing fine. Congrats. I'm doing ok now. The hardest for me is in the mornings when drinking coffee. Tomorrow at 11:30am will be a week since I've smoked. I'd of probably caved in by now but my little girl tells me I smell better since I quit I hope she's talking about the smokey smell |
