This is a dumb question maybe but my friend and I are having a disagreement. I say the pentagram isn't just about the devil. He won't belive me.

I don't know why people get these thoughts into their head and won't get rid of them. So I am asking here.

The pentagram is a pegan or Wiccan thing more than a satanic thing.
And, satanism isnt about the devil or worshipping him...
So, the pentagram really isnt about the devil at all...

The Pentegram predates modern religion.

Any meanings they once had has been twisted and distorted over time in the many attempts to crush any other beliefs over the last 2,000 years.

I far as Satan worship: Most of it is done by rebelious kids who have no idea what they are doing. Bands since the 60's have'nt helped this image created. Paranoia and Fear are huge tools used to control minds. Take what meanings you can from the word. Trust it more than what man says. Use your mind to strengthen your faith and beliefs.

I think I know the answer is no but I want him to read it from others who are more knowlegeble about religions. I think some hellfire and damnation minister started this junk.

Wicca is a new religion, based on new ideas. There is no evidence that it has a historical existance. That said, nobody can tell you who originally used the pentagram or any other symbol with any authority.

no wiccians are not satan worshipers...........there are pleanty of books out there on the subject and you can search the web for information also......

Satanists dont worship the devil.

Satanism came long after peganism.

They are not too alike, and not all pegans are satanists.

The pentagram is a symbol for many things, not just worship.

Ot depends on your point of view.

Can one accept that another has a different belief? If yes, then no, all pagans are'nt Satanists. If no, might as well mark up everybody else as Satan worshipers.
