How do you know you are over someone? Honestly... I really don't think you get over them... you just forget about them till you see how happy they are with someone else... in time you learn how to turn the feelings off.

Well, I've never really "gotten over" anyone! I haven't had to, cuz I've stayed friends with almost all of my ex's!!

Depends on how it ended. If it was a nasty break up... about 5 minutes. If it's one of those break up's that you don't understand why... sometimes a lifetime.

depends on the circumstances. i know i'm over it when i can discuss and pick apart the relationship without feeling a twinge of pain or sadness...when there are no wounds left. that can happen even before the relationship is actually ended, or years down the road. with the case of one that died too soon...it STILL hurts.

I give a relationship every possible effort...every possible chance, so if I'm at that point where I'm walking away from it, I'm already over it. I do spend some time getting used to the fact that I don't have someone in my life again though.
