Good example JB...
I love shooting holes in my own perspective... Can we continue this discussion built upon the Kid Rock example, and the producer for that matter? I love this stuff... |

Ok...
One lies in order to portray a false image of themself which would make others believe something other than the truth, at the time. One knows this is a lie, while it is. One knows. The purpose is to gain personal desires. Can we agree here? |

Good example JB... I love shooting holes in my own perspective... Can we continue this discussion built upon the Kid Rock example, and the producer for that matter? I love this stuff... The part of the formula that uses the "pretending that you are already there or acting the part" is the method used in the Kid Rock and the Hollywood Producer examples. This is only one of the ways a person keeps his eyes on the prize. They act it out with the full intention to make it so. They become what they want to be, even if they are not there yet. It aids them in keeping attention on the goal. It forces them to continue the roll. What it also does is put the vision and idea into the minds of others, which aids in the manifestation. When you begin to believe it, and when others begin to believe it, it is received and it is manifested. This is only one technique. It is not the only technique, but it has been successful on smaller scales. JB |

I bought a lottery ticket last night, so if I pretend that I have already won and start making extravagent purchases and giving large checks to my friends, I *will* win the lottery?

The purpose is to gain personal desires. Can we agree here? Self image is a self created thing. The person is re-creating his own self image. He has a right to do this, for any reason, personal desires or whatever. If his intention is to become that which he portrays, then it is not a lie, ~~it is an intention or a purpose or a goal. It is only a "lie" if he does not intend to become that and if he intends to live a false image for a short time, then return to his old self image. But if he intends to be that, if he desires to change his life and his self image it is not a lie, it is a re-creation of his self image. JB |

I bought a lottery ticket last night, so if I pretend that I have already won and start making extravagent purchases and giving large checks to my friends, I *will* win the lottery? Probably not in this case, because if you were 100% positive you would not have bothered to ask the question. You would just go buy the ticket. |

JB:
We have got to find some common ground here to walk upon. You have just made completely inaccurate claims to substantiate your beliefs. Self image is a self created thing.
No! If this were the case, then wouldn't everyone be better? You are leaving out so many elements. Concerning lies... A lie is a knowingly communicated untruth. If someone knowingly states that they are something which they are not, it is a lie. Why are you attempting to redefine lies and truth? Either you agree that the producer lied, that Kid Rock lied or you do not... Did they lie? |

Self image is how you view yourself. It is a completely self created mental attitude.
I may be influenced by considering the opinions of others, but if you do not consider the opinions of others, you can create you own self image unfettered. JB |

Mark Twain squandered his whole forture by investing in failed inventions / businesses. Am I to believe that Mark Twain invested in businesses which he knew would fail? Am I to believe that the business owners didn't expect to suceed, but put their blood, sweat and tears into their businesses anyways?

Before he was, he proclaimed he was.
Before the producer was one, he proclaimed he was. Before Kid Rock was a famous successful musician, he claimed he was. The purpose of the deception was to portray a false image, which would increase their demand. It was deception... a lie... Can we agree? |

Am I to believe that the business owners didn't expect to suceed, but put their blood, sweat and tears into their businesses anyways? Neither you or me know the details of the thoughts of Mark Twain. He could have worried constantly, he probably envisioned failure more often than he saw success. The Law of attraction works both ways. There is an attractive force and there is a repulsive force. He did not know the correct formula if he failed to be successful. Many people go into business and the hope to succeed. They try this and they try that and they fail. Why? Simply because they try. Try implies the possibility for failure. Hope implies the possibility of failure. They were envisioning failure. They were not intending success. JB |

Yes, in the terms of a non existent thing called time, you could call it a lie. JB So what? |

So what?
That needs clarification. |

In any situation you can say "He attracted suceess" or "He attracted failure" and there is no empiric way to prove one way or another. Any position or theory that is not falsifiable is can be assumed to be false. I find the Law of Attraction to be without merit, therefore I will withdraw from the discussion. |

Are you willing to consider another aspect?
If not, I will not continue, no big deal...really! In order to get somewhere with such a complex notion as the Law of Attraction, the parameters must be set, and the discussion must remain within them. Time... So then, we should not use the concept of time as any measure within this conversation, or for any purpose thereof? I am just assessing your acceptable discussion parameters here, as a result of your repeated errant comments, which come out of nowhere, and have unexplained reason. |

Neither can you prove that prayer works or that God exists, but you are always willing to discus it. It is the same principle. It can only be proven in the personal application of it. |
