I think people like that should be taken off the system for 6 months and told they need to support themselves before we can help. I bet your ass she finds a job in no time

that is a great idea if you can get all the states to do it.

They had a story about this woman in the paper Sunday who has had 12 kids and a grandmother before the age of 31. She says she made some bad choices like partying drinking yet it is against her religious values to use contraception. This woman has no car depends on welfare pay for clothing ,food and rent but she said if she had a choice she would rather work. Isn't there a point where government should step in and say no more you are taking advantage of the welfare system? She can party but not use contraception? |

In Ohio.... the mother can receive three years of ADC cash and up to five if she meets really narrow criteria. However, the children receive it until they are 18, depending upon the income of the parent. If they live with another relative, they also receive it until they are eighteen, regardless of the level of income of the person caring for them. This means the children are always entitled to the funds... no matter what. Just the parent gets excluded after the deadline/timeline expires.
ADC funds are federal, and the states are allowed leeway as to how they are doled out. Usually they are divided up on a county or district status. They are tracked via the computer linked systems, so all states can figure out how much of those months have been used. |

First of all she's nuts. Two is more than enough. Some people should be sterilized at birth.

if someone wants 100 kids and can support them without the government doing it...got for it. the government shouldn't be responsible for the parents lack of control though

if someone wants 100 kids and can support them without the government doing it...got for it. the government shouldn't be responsible for the parents lack of control though Agreed... but it is cheaper to pay for the kids through welfare than by removing them into relative or foster care. Here is an interesting fact... there are more people collecting SSI and SSDI or a combo than there are people on welfare. A large number of that is fraudulent. I'd rather the money go to children. |

I want a check too

true lilth. there is fraud everywhere. i know many people on welfare when they could work instead. welfare should be a way of helping someone to get on their feet, not a career and the kids suffer for it. I don't work at the moment because I take care of my chronically ill sister. she collects disability because she can't work to help her family out. there is good and bad everywhere you go

^^^ true and where the hell are those 12 FATHERS? they need to round them up and ring their pockets to support those kids...sheesh! No doubt!! That is not true. Each kid adds about 100 dollars to the welfare payment and about 100 dollars on foodstamps. This is not the norm. She has mental health issues obviously. It is sad when people use the mentally unwell as examples of the "wrongly" used welfare system. |

So this statement is not true either. |

I guess people do not have enough to worry about in their own lives that they have so much time to sit in judgement of others and what bad things should happen to others because YOU do not approve of THEIR lifestyle.

This is not the norm. She has mental health issues obviously. It is sad when people use the mentally unwell as examples of the "wrongly" used welfare system. I think that is a wildly untrue assumption on both ends. How can you assume she has mental issues? Why not just assume she is a drug addict? Or mentally retarded? Jeesh. |

I guess people do not have enough to worry about in their own lives that they have so much time to sit in judgement of others and what bad things should happen to others because YOU do not approve of THEIR lifestyle. but is it THEIR lifestyle when tax dollars are paying for it? |

Just wondering what percentage of her life has been spent in an upright position? Well you know what one leg said to the other... Hey Long Time No SEE!! |

I guess people do not have enough to worry about in their own lives that they have so much time to sit in judgement of others and what bad things should happen to others because YOU do not approve of THEIR lifestyle. but is it THEIR lifestyle when tax dollars are paying for it? Again I will say this example is not the norm nor is the "existance of fraud everywhere". If people actually worked a welfare caseload like I did they would know the truth of these statements and I know they are not true. As for her mental health, it is obvious she has problems mentally. You cannot see that? Or are you too busy worrying about the possible money spent on her? Which is more important mental health or money? |
|
|
|
i say she should have been fixed...after all its our tax dollars supporting her |
|
|

I think we can all safely assume she had sex and got pregnant. A lot!
