If you are bored with the usual then try this 1 big onion liquidized 1/2 cup of oil preferably olive 3 cloves garlic liquidized 1 tblspn Paprika 1 tblspn Turmeric mix the mixture well and if needed liquidize all together Salt and pepper to taste Marinate the pork chops by dipping then in this liquid and leave them in room temperature in the marinate for 3 hours when you put the chops on the bbq brush them frequently with the remaining of the marinate Invite me round I will bring a bottle 
Sounds like a plan

I am bored with the usual, so I threw together some seasonings to make a rub for the pork steaks. Even my picky son ate it! Sadly, I didn't really measure anything, so I can only try to give you
an idea of how much I used. 1/4 cup lite soy sauce 1 Tablespoon paparika 1 Tablespoon rosemary 1 Tablespoon thyme 1/2 Tablespoon pepper 1/4 Tablespoon salt (I prefer to use as little salt as possible, and the lite soy sauce still has some in it) Mix it all together and rub it onto 4 pork steaks. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes, and grill. I actually cooked it indoors on a covered grill pan , for 10 minutes on each side. |

As soon as I get up I make my bed. If I don't do it then, it doesn't get done. My bedroom is small, and if the bed isn't made, I feel like my room is messy.

Kathi those pics are really nice. did you say that was your son or daughter that got married.?You should put one of you with the bride and groom too.I would love to see a pic of the proud mama as well. That is my daughter. They are planning to build a house right across the pond from where they got married. I don't have a picture of me yet...sigh. I am trying to be patient...
wow what a beautiful place. Is it anywhere near you? It is about an hour away. They just bought a house down that way, and are going to live there while building the new house. That whole hill for over 5,000 acres has been in his family forever. They only sell property within the family. |

my office is my smallest bedroom. I have a laptop so i don't even need to sit in here to use my computer. I really can just close the door, but I may be having family visiting and may need the room for some kids to sleep on a mattress. Well kids can sleep anywhere. But, they have a tendency to be nosey.. You may find half your things traipsed all over the house.

Advice to younger people

The boss I had from age 39-48 was my only mentor. He didn't so much give advice, but empowered me to become the strongest person I could - including making mistakes as well as celebrating successes. I'm not disagreeing that we should share info with younger people...and some advice may be taken to heart. My original point was that if we could go back and give OURSELVES the same advice, would it change the person we have become for better or for worse? I believe that we all have our own life lessons to learn (for whatever reasons) and that we need to embrace the good and the bad roads we've come down. That's what makes us who we are today - including having the knowledge to want to share with others of any age. 
I think this is a great thread, BTW - excellent discussion material. I agree with you. When some people ask what I would do differently, I always say nothing. It's not that my life was overly wonderful, but it did make me grow to be me. I am the strongest I have ever been in my life! Also, if I had made changes, then maybe I wouldn't have my children, or at least the children I have now. |

Yea I'm beginning to think so too. I think I've done all the big stuff i can do tonight. I haven't gotten this office put together in the year I've lived here. I'm sure not going to get it put together in one night. Not to mention I really don't have the furniture for this room. I'm just using leftovers. But at least now when I walk in the room I can turn the lightswitch on and get light.
My computer room has looked a mess since I moved in here. I manage to file everything I think is really important, and the rest gets tossed onto the table behind my computer. I prob will find alot of strange things if I ever got thru it! |
