There is no innocence anymore. Young marriages fail because there are too many outer influences working against them.

They should go out and experience life before any thoughts of marriage.

Love is'nt a valid reason to get married anymore, just like the lack of love is no reason to get a divorce.

It's all about experience and character. Life skills are a must.

Unfortunately sometimes children have to suffer because their parents had no idea what they were doing. That is unacceptable.

Right,Influence from the parents is one reason of failure.flowerforyou

I think, it is a good idea to keep work-place romances between the two . Don't show a lot of affection towards each other while at work, as this will make your co-workers uncomfortable.

Lilith, so you don't advocate rushing for marriage at that age ?

even if the feelings are extremely strong.

If they are that strong they can wait to get married. And get marriage counseling. It should be a requirement to get a marriage license.

Oh, and finally, if you cheat on someone, DON'T get married as a result. DON'T. It should be ILLEGAL. Second marriages that start in infidelity have this ridiculous success rate, like 6% or something. Abuot the same as sobriety from methamphetamines.

Right lilith, strong feelings may not last long always. Marriage counseling should be encouraged.

I got married at 19 and he was 26. I would have gotten to know more about him and his habit if I could change anything. However, he was the love of my life and I wouldn't have changed that and the children that we have together. We struggled at such a young age financially but we had so much love for each other. By the way his birthday is April 9th and he would have been 47 this year. I miss him sooooo much.

so sweet. Thanks for sharingflowerforyou

Kids are STOOOOOOOOpid.

They have no idea what they want, or what they need. Around 22 or 24 they might start to figure one of those things out... but not both.

Getting married under age 25 is making the marriage twice as hard in my opinion.

'I do'

marrying young is the end of freedom or it's the start of a lifelong adventure for two ?

Do you think the challenges faced by young married couples are bigger?
