a date ???

Think carefully about your job. A failed work-place romance can have serious negative effects on your work. Do not enter in to this lightly.

just come out and ask.
Did it twice, dated the boss and ended up quiting.
Not the right move, after all she did propose marriage.

second time, dated, and got married.

Got divorced, so now, who knows. what

That is a rule of mine..NEVER date someone I work with. I think that can lead to nothing but trouble. If one of you likes the other one and you want to end it..it can lead to drama at work. No thanks~~I go to work to get peace and quiet NOT drama.

I agree. Definitely out of the question. It shows your boss that you don't take your job seriously.

That wasn't my reasoning at all. My boss had no idea I was dating a coworker. It's just that when things don't work out, you get no break from them and it can get awkward.

Why name the thread "How to ask your co-worker for a date" if your concept is to AVOID dating a co-worker?

I think your thread heading should be "Never date your co-worker" and expand critical thinking from that topic. winking

Or perhaps get witty and call it
'How to not ask your co-worker for a date'

not to be confused with
'How not to ask your co-worker for a date'

just sayin

How to 'not' ask your co-worker for a date isn't grammatically correct though!

I know I am comme il faut! It's a love it or leave it characteristic of mine. flowers
