I'll say it again: Who made alcohol? Man! Who made Marijuana? God! does that mean you should smoke poison ivy or drink hemlock tea No. But mushrooms are alright? Herbs of any kind is alright? There are poisonous things in nature that's prone to kill you, stay away, but marijuana has never killed anybody. Be realistic man! |

Hmm, country is in debt up to it's ears. We, as a nation, spend somewhere in the neighhorhood of 12 billion dollars to enforce the marijuana laws. 75% of prison inmates are drug offenders, most of which are possession crimes (as mere possession implies intent to sell). The federal government pays to house these people. And the estimated annual income in taxes from the legalization would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 billion dollars a year (based on the average between the income of alcohol taxes (3 billion) and tobbacco taxes (5.7 billion)). SO lets see, from a purely economic standpoint. WE as a collective taxpayer have a conservative estimate of a 16 billion dollar swing, in our favor. Now I know with 800 billion dollar bailouts and spending more than that monthly in Iraq it doesn't sound like much, but every little bit helps. I haven't even touched about the jobs. Oh did I say jobs? Yeah, when in this quarter alone the U.S. is expected to see unemployment rise by over 1.5 million people (CNN Wednesday), wouldn't it be nice to have a NEW industry? Let see, going to need a few extra farm hands. Going to need some manufacturing jobs there, because John Deere doesn't currently make pot equipment. Going to need jobs in chemistry and science, see where those seed oils are good. Textile jobs, might want to use those fibers. Energy jobs, hempseed oil is a little better than corn for making fuel. Constuction jobs, hempboard is stronger than plywood, easier to replace than old growth forests. So, as an American, the land of capitalism, free market, free people, and well freedom in general, why wouldn't you want legal pot? And if that doesn't convince you, let me add one more arguement. If it was legal, I would have to go to a "pot shoppe" to buy it. Would probably need an I.D. and everything. Which means I won't have to go to the high school and buy it from your kid, because he won't be able to get it any more. Yes yes yes! The hemp plant can be used for so much more than just to be burned. And, if I should guess, 30% of people smoke a blunt every-now-and-again, and if that many smoke, why not make it legal. So true with the school-yard dealing, it would properly minimize a whole lot, the farmers would sell to the government and earn a good profit. |

Haha.. True. But i still think marijuana should be legalized. But !! It should be kept under control like alcohol. Now a days people look at marijuana and they think themselves as criminal because they smoke ONE blunt. But 13 year old KIDS drink alcohol and see no problem with it.
people will smoke, just like people will always drink. So I'd say yes. Some also smoke BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL, and if it would be legalized, perhaps fewer would smoke. But who know. Just an opinion. |

WE all label.......whether we like to admit it or not!!!! Me??? I hate labels but guess what???? I do it too.....subconsciously/consciously........we judge!!! We are human!!! We are imperfect in all of our perfections!!! Ok who wants tequila???? I don't label or judge until I know the person. I have a pretty open mind and like people at first glance. I'm always up for a tequila. |

who thinks it is wrong to refer to someone as a "whigger"? I know it is wrong to judge someone....however, it is not wrong to judge their charecter.... I just want to see what people in here think about this term, and about those who fall into this group... Labeling someone based on their behavior or appearance is judging them. Agreed |

Dont some people put minced meat in pie? Minced meat = ground meat Mincemeat = a conglomeration of fruit and spices ... used in tarts and pies Thanks for clarifying that. My education did not teach me that. It's just minced meat here. |
